Chapter 94 No More Houses
Third–Person POV:
Eleanor was practically shaking with rage on the other end of the phone, so furious she could barely breathe. “You–you ungrateful little-
”
“Once I find her, I’ll ask her myself what else she wants to burn. I’ll light it all up for her. Every single thing she thinks I’ve taken.”
Anything Hilda had ever grabbed from Lillian–he’d burn it to the ground.
Julian’s composure had completely cracked. Before he could hang up, Eleanor beat him to it- she ended the call first.
Crazy. Everyone had lost their minds.
Everything was falling apart.
Victor, who’d been pushing Julian just minutes ago to let the mate bond go, fell silent after watching Julian go nuclear on Eleanor.
At least Julian was still defending Lillian.
So maybe… maybe there was still something worth saving there?
But Lillian? She was done. Everyone could see that.
Julian pulled out a cigarette and lit it. “You. Call her.”
He knew Victor had always had a decent rapport with Lillian.
Julian had never loved how close Victor got to her–always felt like he overstepped somehow.
And now with Finn circling? Julian couldn’t take it.
Victor hesitated when Julian shoved the phone at him. “She’s not gonna tell me where she is.”
“Call her.”
Julian wasn’t in the mood to argue.
Victor sighed internally. Great. This was how he asked for a favor?

But under Julian’s glare, he dialed anyway.
Julian had guessed right–Lillian picked up for Victor.
“What’s up?”
Victor kept his voice careful. “Inkwood Gardens… that was something. Where are you right
now?”
A beat of silence on the other end. Then Lillian asked, “Is Julian there with you?”
Victor and Julian exchanged a look.
Sometimes an Omega’s instincts were terrifying.
Lillian continued, “Tell him he’s got one option left. Sign the dissolution papers. Once the bond’s broken, everyone can move on.”
Otherwise, nobody was getting any peace.
Then she hung up.
Victor glanced nervously at Julian. The call had been on speaker. He’d heard everything.
“Julian… Lillian’s not gonna budge on this.”
Her voice had been final. No room.
It showed just how much damage the last six months with Julian and Iris had done.
Julian’s expression went darker.
“I told you to ask where she was,” he bit out, voice low and rough.
Victor threw up his hands. “I did. She wouldn’t say.”
Was Julian too angry to remember? He’d led with that exact question. Lillian just hadn’t answered.

Julian was a mess of fury.
Back at the hospital, Eleanor was just as wrecked. First Lillian torched Inkwood Gardens, then Julian screamed at her over the phone.

Hilda was pacing. “I say we lock her up somewhere. Then we’d finally get some peace.”
Lillian had completely upended their lives.
Eleanor’s breath came heavy. “Call the cops? And say what? ‘My daughter–in–law burned down a house that was in my daughter’s name? How would that look?
“By tomorrow, every pack in the city would know you stole your brother’s mate’s wedding home. You think anyone would touch you after that?”
As angry as she was, Eleanor still had enough sense to know where the line was.
Some things you could get away with in private. But once they saw daylight? Whole different
story.
Especially now, with Hilda in delicate negotiations with the Livingstons about a potential mating alliance. Eleanor didn’t need Finn’s family forming any negative impressions of her daughter.
Hilda wasn’t satisfied. “So we just let her get away with it?”
