Natasha had argued fiercely with her son and grandsons earlier because of Zera’s situation. They had fought so badly she smashed things and kicked them all out.
She never imagined this vicious mother and daughter would actually lay their hands on her.
She was the one who had brought this venomous snake into the Hills. She couldn’t allow a monster like Zera back into the world.
Using the last of her strength, Natasha cried out, Help–murder!”
“You old witch!”
Zera snatched the candleholder from Anna’s hand, pulled out the candle, and drove the metal spike straight into Natasha’s neck.
Natasha stopped breathing instantly.
At that moment, footsteps sounded again outside.
Zera realized there was no way to escape through the main door.
Her eyes darted to the low window, then she grabbed Anna’s hand and pleaded, “Mom, the front entrance is definitely blocked. Only one of us can get out. You take the blame and say you killed her, okay?”
Anna stared at her in disbelief, eyes red, shaking her head frantically.
“Zera, I’m your mother! Your own mother!”
Zera snapped. “So what if you are?”
She glared at her. “You have no status, no power, no abilities–why did you even give birth to me?”
Zera grabbed Anna by the collar like a madwoman. “Did you ask me before you brought me into this world?”
Her teeth clenched, voice trembling with anger. Anna, you owe me!”
Anna grabbed Zera back, refusing to let her go. “You ungrateful brat! I’m covered in injuries because George beat me half to death while I was worried sick about you! If it weren’t for you, do you think I’d even be here?”

Anna clutched her arm tighter. “If we go, we go together. Otherwise neither of us leaves!”
A flash of cold ruthlessness passed through Zera’s eyes.
She suddenly clamped a hand over Anna’s mouth and yanked her by the hair, slamming her head hard against the table.
With a single blow, Anna went completely still.
Zera didn’t care whether Anna was alive or dead. She grabbed Anna’s bag off the floor, climbed through the window, and fled.
Clutching Natasha’s phone and Anna’s bag, she ran blindly, until a blinding beam of light flashed ahead of her.
Zera instinctively lifted her arm to shield her eyes.
When her vision adjusted and she saw who was standing there, she froze. “Tyrone?”
Tyrone stood in a dark suit with his hands in his pockets, several Winter family bodyguards behind him.
He lifted a hand, and the bodyguards rushed forward, tackling Zera to the ground.
Not far behind her, the abbot of Calmwood Abbey and several others rushed onto the scene.
Zera screamed and cursed, “Tyrone, this is all your fault! You set me up!”
Tyrone turned his back to her. “Blame yourself for being too greedy.”
Zera shrieked, hysterical. “You and your fiancée ruined my life! If that bitch hadn’t tricked me into coming back, none of this would’ve happened!”
Police sirens grew louder as the Hills family finally arrived.
The abbot informed them that Natasha had died, and the Hills family rushed toward her
room.
Daniel looked at the blood–soaked Zera before stepping toward Tyrone.
Tyrone said quietly, “I’m sorry.”
Daniel shook his head. “This wasn’t your fault. You warned us ahead of time.”
He shouldn’t have argued with Natasha or stormed off in anger.
After returning home, the family had talked it over and still felt uneasy.

Seeing Daniel and Tyrone standing together, Zera thrashed against the guards and shouted, “Daniel, you idiot! Bet you never imagined the woman you like is actually Tyrone’s woman!”
Even with death closing in, Zera still tried to stir trouble. “That bitch Aella–she was juggling both of you! She was stringing you along at the same time! She’s nothing but a slut, worthless, hahaha!”
Thud!
Before she could finish laughing, Tyrone kicked her so hard she was sent rolling across the ground, coughing up blood.
Daniel stepped in front of her.
“Aella grew up with Mr. Winter. I’ve known she was his fiancée for a long time. I don’t need you to ‘remind‘ me.”
Zera shook her head violently, completely stunned.
“No, that’s impossible! If you knew, then why did you still get close to that slut? Why were both of you so good to her?”
Daniel’s voice was cold. “It’s fine if you don’t understand now. You can figure it out in hell.”
Just then, Sophia walked past with Aurelia.
She pulled Aurelia closer and warned, “Stay away from that crazy woman. We need to check on Grandma.”
Zera’s eyes followed Sophia and Aurelia with a burning, murderous hatred.
In the next second, she suddenly broke free from the guards and lunged at Aurelia.
By the time anyone reacted, Aurelia was already in Zera’s grip.
Zera pressed the dagger to Aurelia’s throat and let out a triumphant laugh. “Let me go, or I’ll kill her too!”
She dragged Aurelia backward.
The Hills family didn’t dare make a move, terrified for Aurelia’s safety.
Right then, the police finally arrived, but Zera didn’t seem afraid anymore.
