He watched as his boss grabbed his phone and staggered out of the study. Noel was so scared he didn’t dare ask a single question.

For the past few months, something had clearly changed. Tyrone’s schedule kept getting tighter. His workload grew heavier. He became colder, quieter, and harder to read.

Everyone in the CEO’s office worked on edge every single day. Noel followed his boss closely, nervous all the time, afraid one small mistake would get him fired.

In the bathroom of the bedroom, Tyrone stood in front of the sink and opened Brad’s WhatsApp message again. In an instant, it felt like all the blood drained from his body.

The high–definition photos filled the screen. A beach. A yacht. A drone shot. A cake. Flowers. A ring.

That scene was painfully familiar.

Tyrone’s eyes turned red. His fingers shook as he tapped on Brad’s voice message.

Brad said, “Aella accepted Daniel’s proposal.”

Tyrone stood frozen at the sink, staring at the photos on his phone.

Another video came in. In it, Daniel and Aella were holding each other, surrounded by family and friends. Everyone was cheering.

Aella was smiling. She looked beautiful. She looked truly happy.

She held Daniel’s hand and accepted everyone’s blessings.

When their eyes met, it was as if the world held only the two of them.

That scene slowly overlapped with a memory from Tyrone’s past.

In his last life, on the day Aella married him, her smile had been brighter and sweeter.

She had loved acting cute back then.

In front of family and guests, she leaned into his arms, full of dependence.

He heard Noel’s voice outside. Tyrone turned on the faucet and let cold water run over his hands, forcing himself to calm down.

His voice was hoarse. “The meeting’s over. You can go.”

Noel didn’t ask anything. He left Tyrone’s place right away.

A few minutes later, Tyrone also walked out the door.

Brad and Raine had just returned from Daniel’s proposal. Raine entered Tyrone’s place using the password but found it didn’t work.

She frowned. “Brad, when did Tyrone change his door code?”

Brad quickly changed the subject. “You know your brother. Even if the sky fell, he wouldn’t panic. He probably missed your call because he’s busy.”

Raine shook her head. “Impossible. No matter how busy he is, Tyrone never ignores my calls.”

It was late at night. Raine asked Brad to take her back to the estate.

Brad complained, “Babe, we haven’t spent time together all week. Stay over tonight. I’ll take you back in the morning.”

Raine shot him a sharp look. Brad immediately pressed the elevator button. “Alright, alright. I’ll take you home.”

Ralph sneered. “Your brother was punished just for marrying her.” He paid off the huge debt for her family too. And this woman turns around and hooks up with another man after using Tyrone? Virginia finally exploded. She turned on her husband angrily. “If it weren’t for you two, Tyrone and Aella would have been married long ago! Would Tyrone still be single now?”

She continued, “No one in this world is perfect. Aella and Tyrone grew up together. Our families knew each other well. If you hadn’t filled Tyrone’s head with those nasty ideas and turned him into a calculating businessman, he wouldn’t have lost the happiness he already had!”
