Chapter 551 A Heartbreak That Felt Too Real
Aella searched everywhere from upstairs to downstairs, grabbing slippers, a feather duster, and a vase one after another.
Finally, she grabbed the three–foot–long decorative wooden sword Warren had bought for her little brother at a theme park and charged outside.
When her parents saw her storming toward the door with such ferocity, they quickly blocked her path.
Miriam asked, “Where do you think you’re going this late?”
Aella took a deep breath. “Mom, I need to go out and settle things with Tyrone.”
Once they realized it was Tyrone at the door, her parents exchanged a glance and let her go.
Warren turned to his wife as they headed back to their room. “Only Tyrone and Brad could ever put up with that temper of hers.”
Outside the front door of Reid Residence, Aella pointed the wooden sword at Tyrone. “You shameless jerk, how dare you show your face here!”
Tyrone had no idea what she meant.
Seeing her swing the sword at him, he shielded the small box in his hands and dodged to the side.
The wooden sword struck the wound on his shoulder, making him grunt in pain.
Aella let out a cold scoff. “It’s been so long since I’ve seen you–I thought you were dead!”
Tyrone stepped closer and studied her furious face. “What’s got you so worked up? Who made you this angry?”
He had barely escaped from the Bullet Estate with his life.
If he hadn’t accidentally hidden in Victor’s car at the pier and evaded the Bullets‘ assassins, he would have been long dead.
Tyrone gazed at the fuming Aella before him. “Why aren’t you saying anything?”

Aella gritted her teeth and glared at him.

How had she never noticed before what a two–faced jerk this man was? “Just leave. I have nothing to say to you!”
Seeing her clench her jaw and refuse to speak, Tyrone pressed on.
“Why did you block my number and WhatsApp?”
Aella laughed in disbelief. “Why did I block you? Don’t you have any idea?”
Their eyes locked.
Tyrone reached out to pinch her puffed–up cheeks, but she jerked away angrily.
With a sigh, he held out the small box. “I brought you something from the coast. A little wind chime made of seashells and pearls.”
Aella had loved these kinds of trinkets since she was a little girl.
Every time he gave her one, she would be over the moon.
But for the first time ever, she didn’t happily accept a gift he had personally brought her.
She pointed at him and snapped, “I wouldn’t dare to accept a gift from the great Mr. Winter. Why don’t you give it to whoever actually deserves it?”
Tyrone had pushed through the pain of his back wound to come see her, only to be met with this attitude.
Completely at a loss, he reached out and wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her into his embrace.
He tilted his head down to watch her expression. “Can we just talk like normal people?”
Aella looked up.
The atmosphere suddenly turned charged.
Fragmented images from that night flashed through Tyrone’s mind, and his blood rushed hot through his veins.
His gaze dropped to her soft, rosy lips, his breath catching as he slowly leaned in.
Though Aella was young, his intentions were obvious enough for her to see right through hi

Tyrone gripped her chin. Keep this up and I’m leaving.
The resentment on Aella’s face histantly crumbled, her eyes welling with tears.
She jabbed a finger at him and spat, “Tyrone. I will never forgive you for as long as I live!”
With that, she spun around and disappeared through the front gate.
Tyrene stood outside, staring at the closed door in utter confusion.
Before, whenever he threatened to leave, Aella would immediately pout, apologize, and plead with him to stay.
But this time, she got angry and actually slammed the door in his face.
It was as if he had committed some unforgivable sin, and she wanted nothing to do with him ever again.
That night, Tyrone had another dream.
In the dream, he and Aella were married.
They were happy–blissfully in love.
But one day when he came home from work, Aella picked a huge fight with him and demanded a divorce.
Angry, he told her to cool off on her own.
With tears streaming down her face, she screamed at him, “Tyrone, I will never forgive you for as long as I live!”
Tyrone jolted awake from the nightmare.
Cold sweat had soaked through his pajamas.
He had dreamed of her crying again.

He pressed a hand to his chest, which ached with a dull, throbbing pain.
It felt so real, as if they had actually been together in another life.
The next morning, at Capital Hospital.
After having the wounds on his back cleaned and treated, Tyrone left the examination room and headed to Edwin’s ward.
Ralph spoke with him. “I’ve discussed it with your aunt. We’ve decided to send your grandfather abroad for treatment. Your aunt will take care of him there.”
Tyrone stood at the foot of the bed, offering no response.
Ralph continued, “All of your accounts have been unfrozen. At the shareholders‘ meeting after Christmas, I’ll officially appoint you as CEO of Winter Group. Once the holidays are over, the company will be entirely in your hands.”
Tyrone’s expression remained blank. “I refuse.”
Ralph shot up from his chair. “Say that again!”
