Chapter 638 He Can’t Be Selfish
Aella glared at him. “Tyrone, are you leaving or not?”
Without looking up, Tyrone replied as he washed the dishes, “I’m not leaving
Aella wiped her wet hands on his clean white shirt, smearing soap all over it, then shoved him.
She demanded again, “Then tell me–why won’t you leave?”
Tyrone’s hands paused for a moment.
He didn’t answer and kept washing
Aella shoved him again. “Then why are you helping me with the dishes
The force made Tyrone sway slightly.
Like a wronged housewife, he kept his head down and quietly continued.
Aella felt like she was about to explode.
She knew Tyrone wasn’t a talkative person, but she’d never seen him like that before.
She shoved him again, blocking the sink. “Why did you break my lock and sneak into my place in the middle of the night? Who asked you to interfere in my life?”
Tyrone let her push him around, saying nothing, focused only on what he was doing
Aella snapped, “We’re ending the engagement! Why are you still wearing that ring?!”
He stayed silent.
She finally blew up. “I’m talking to you! Are you mute?!”
She kept firing questions at him.
But Tyrone calmly switched topics. “You have classes this afternoon. I’ll drive you to school.”
Their eyes met.
Aella pushed past him and walked away.
In her mind, she swore that if she said one more word to Tyrone, she’d be a pig.
Victor noticed the tension. “You almost died at the docks for the Reids before. What kind of mess are you stirring up now?”
Tyrone’s expression was complicated. “Uncle Victor, what’s between Aella and me can’t be explained in a few words,”
Victor raised an eyebrow. “Men in your family are all emotionally dense. Watch yourself”
Tyrone grabbed his jacket and rushed downstairs, but Aella was already gone.

Noel looked at his boss nervously. “Mr. Winter, Ms. Reid just left. She looked really angry.”
He sneaked a look at Tyrone’s face and neck and wiped sweat from his forehead.

Earlier, when Aella came down, he’d just greeted her politely–only to get kicked for no reason. She’d even cursed at him.
With that level of anger, even a random dog would’ve been kicked twice.
Tyrone got into the car without showing any emotion.
He knew exactly why Aella was upset.
And he knew exactly what she wanted to hear.
Even though his parents had secretly negotiated with the Reids to delay the breakup for a year, the ending was already set.
He couldn’t selfishly let Aella sink deeper.
If she ever remembered everything one day, she wouldn’t be able to handle it.
He knew about the bond they shared over three lifetimes. He couldn’t pretend nothing happened and stay by her side, lying to himself while enjoying everything she gave him.
For Aella, the best kind of love was letting go, lifting her, and setting her free.
He had done that in their last life.
She’d had children, a happy family, and a fulfilling life.
In this life, she hadn’t studied medicine and had taken a different path, but every bit of pain he caused her was still real.
Like she said, as long as she remembered, she would never forgive him.
Once she made up her mind, she could do it again.
Yet when another man appeared beside her, he still panicked uncontrollably.
Even when that man was his uncle.
He still couldn’t stop himself from staying close to Aella.
He hated how torn and powerless he felt, and he couldn’t expect Aella to accept that.
Exhausted, Tyrone leaned back against the seat and closed his eyes.
Noel turned from the front. “Mr. Winter, dinner tonight is at the Regal Hotel. Is eight okay?”
