Serena got even angrier at his apology. She jumped to her feet and gave him a cold, hard stare.

“Dylan, from now on, I hope I never have anything to do with you again. I hope I never see you. And, you’re the worst dad ever. Your own son got hurt, and you didn’t even blame the person who did it,” she said coldly.

She’d thought Dylan would at least have Eliana thrown in jail.

But she was kidding herself. There was no way Dylan would ever let Eliana end up behind bars.

Serena let out a bitter, self–deprecating laugh. “I really was overthinking it. You’d rather throw billions just to protect the Lamberts. There’s no way you’d send the woman you love to jail for a child born to someone you don’t even care about.”

Stella left the villa, not bothering to explain herself and leaving all the explanations to Dylan.

Dylan’s body was taut, the hard lines of his muscles showing through his thin shirt. His arms trembled ever so slightly.
