Worried that Yolanda might run into danger on the way, Serena looked at Julian. “Julian, could you please go with Yolanda to the police station?”
Galvin spotted Yolanda and stepped in front of her, blocking her way. He said in a threatening tone, “Yolanda, someone’s dead. So, how are you going to fix this? If your bar doesn’t cough up enough, don’t think this is over. We’ve got plenty of people backing us, and even if your bar’s got all those big shots behind you, we’re not scared.”
Yolanda shot him a cold, mocking smile. “Galvin, don’t get too full of yourself. I’ve got evidence. Let’s settle this at the police
station.”
Galvin frowned, thinking, ‘Evidence? What evidence could they possibly have?‘
“Cut the excuses. If you don’t want this to blow up, sit down and discuss the payout,” Galvin said, his intentions clear.
‘I’ll get the money first,’ he thought.
Serena and Yolanda exchanged a glance. Yolanda gave a subtle nod, catching Serena’s drift.
Yolanda raised the thumb drive in her hand, her gaze icy. “I’ve got proof that the victim didn’t die in our bar. They were already dead when someone dragged them in. I’m handing it over to the cops right now.”
Galvin was stunned. ‘No way… ‘ he thought.
Yolanda strode off, Julian right behind her, both heading straight for the police station with the evidence in hand.
Serena dialed Gray’s number without hesitation.
“Ms. Hale!” Gray called out.
Gray was just a short distance away. He ended the call and walked over to Serena, nodding respectfully.
Serena said, “I’ll text you in a moment.”
She quickly typed out a few instructions and sent them to Gray. He understood instantly and hurried off.
Serena stared at the Kismet Bar, now closed again, her mind all over the place.
Who’s really pulling the strings here? Is it Jasper? Eliana? Or maybe Dylan?‘ she wondered.
She turned to Chris. “Tell Caleb and the others to speed things up. I want everything wrapped up by tomorrow night”
Yolanda had already gotten some solid evidence, but Serena knew the real mastermind still had to be exposed.
Serena glanced over at where Galvin had been standing, but he was already gone. A sly, almost sinister smile tugged at her lips.
Serena was about to walk away when someone suddenly grabbed her wrist.
She turned to see Dylan.
Serena shot him a look, her pretty eyes filled with annoyance.
Dylan quickly let go. “Stella, can we talk this out calmly?”

Serena’s eyes were icy. “Dylan, talking won’t change a thing. There’s nothing to discuss until you learn to see the world for what it is. And if I find out you or Eliana are behind what happened today, I’ll make sure you lose everything even faster,” she warned.
“As for Pierre, I’ll pry the truth out of him and make him point the finger at you himself,” she enunciated every word, her voice dripping with hatred.
With that, she headed off with Chris.
Dylan stood there, stunned. ‘Does she really think I’m behind this?‘ he thought.
As he watched her walk away, every instinct screamed at him to go after her, but the cold, distant look in her eyes stopped him in his tracks.
