The man sneered. “Break my hand? You skinny punk, just look at yourself. You think you could break my hand? I could snap your neck with a single finger. Cut the crap and hand over the thumb drive.”
Seeing Julian’s tall, lanky frame, the man got even bolder.
Julian’s gaze turned icy. He almost never lost his temper, but now his face went cold, his eyes frosty as ice.
Seeing the man about to lay hands on Yolanda again, Julian lunged forward, snatched his hand, and wrenched it with a sharp twist.
The man screamed like a stuck pig. He bared his teeth, face contorted in pain as he glared at Julian, unable to believe how strong Julian really was.
His hand throbbed with agony; he’d broken a bone.”
“Let… let go, it hurts so much,” the man cried out, eyes wild with pain. He’d never felt anything like this before.
Julian’s lips were pressed into a thin line, his face icy cold. “Lay a finger on her again, and I’ll rip your whole arm off.” His chiseled face was set, his eyes pure black and filled with a menacing chill.
The man flinched, nodding frantically.
“Okay, alright, just let go. I swear I won’t touch her again,” he stammered.
If he had to feel that kind of pain again, he’d break down for sure. No one would want to go through that twice.
Julian let go of his hand then.
Not far away, the wail of police sirens cut through the air.
Yolanda let out a sigh of relief. The cops were finally here.
The two men looked stunned. ‘How the hell did the cops show up?‘ they thought.
Yolanda shot the man a cold smirk. “I knew you’d try to ambush us, so I called the cops ahead of time. Bet you didn’t see that coming, huh? Pretty exciting, isn’t it?” she said, arching her brow, her smile full of mischievous, almost wicked charm.
The man froze, staring at her cheeky grin as if the Grim Reaper had just walked in wearing a playful smile.
“You…” he stammered.
“Boss, let’s go! The cops are here!” the other guy shouted, panicking.
The man refused to give up, because if they didn’t get their hands on that thumb drive, they would end up behind bars.
“You bitch, you just had to push it, huh? Since you called the cops and left us with no way out, then tine, we’ll all go down together, you and your precious thumb drive,” he snarled.
No way he believed Yolanda would actually throw her life away over a thumb drive.
He waved the tiny bomb in his hand, eyes locked on Yolanda. “This is your last chance. Hand over the thumb drive, or you and your friend die with it!”
Yolanda eyed the mini bomb, then caught sight of Nova behind him. A confident smirk appeared on her lips.

Chapter 145
Her smirk just pissed the guy off even more.
“Smartass, are you handing it over or not? If you don’t, I’m gonna blow us all to hell!” he snarled.
Just as he reached for the detonator, a muffled grunt sounded from behind him.
“Hmph…”
He whipped around and saw a gorgeous female cop take down his buddy with a swift kick.
He flinched as pain shot through his hand, and the cop snatched the mini bomb right out of his grip.
“Ah!” he yelped in shock. ‘She’s fast!‘ he thought.
