Chapter 151
Dylan replied coldly, “I saw it.”
The chill around him only grew sharper.

Spencer acted like he didn’t care, his voice more serious than ever. “Now that you and Serena are divorced, I’ve got every right to go after her.”
Spencer made no effort to hide how he felt.
Dylan’s eyes darkened for a moment.
‘Yeah, I’m the one ending things with Stella. Once it’s over, she deserves to chase her own happiness. But why does it hurt so damn much?‘ he thought.
Suddenly, Dylan just wanted to punch Spencer in the face.
Spencer glanced at the time, catching the icy look on Dylan’s face. He knew Dylan was still bitter about it, but it was already too late for regrets.
Spencer said, “Dylan, I’ve got a meeting tonight, so I’ll head out first.”
Dylan didn’t say a word, but Spencer’s blunt words kept replaying in his head. “Now that you and Serena are divorced, I’ve got every right to go after her.”
‘Yeah, once we’re divorced, any guy has the right to go after her now, Dylan thought. ‘But why does it feel so unbearably wrong? There is a dull, heavy ache in my chest.’
Dylan watched Stella walk away, her laughter echoing behind her. She looked genuinely happy, happier than she’d ever been when she was with him.
Dylan’s business deal had just tanked, and he met his father tonight. Seeing Stella with Spencer was just the cherry on top of Dylan’s rotten day.
It was like someone had snatched his favorite candy right out of his hands.
Miles could see Dylan wasn’t looking too good, so he kept it short. “Mr. Ashford, let me drive you home. You really shouldn’t be overdoing it right now. The company’s running smoothly, and I know Ms. Hale isn’t about to do anything to hurt it.”
Dylan knew Stella wouldn’t actually sabotage the company. What really got to her was that all those years of hard work had ended up helping the Lambert family instead.
Dylan still remembered what Stella had said. She said he was living in a world of lies.
Dylan didn’t dare dwell on it. “Let’s go home,” he said.
Miles let out a deep sigh and went to get the car.
Meanwhile, at the paternity testing center, Eliana ended up waiting two whole hours before she finally got her hands on the DNA test results.
Once Eliana had the envelope, she checked to make sure no one was around, then quickly ripped it open.
The moment Eliana turned to the last page and saw that it showed Beatrice was her mother, she nearly broke down.

“Ah, no,” Eliana broke down, sobbing so hard that she could barely breathe.
She crouched on the floor, crying like her world was ending.

‘So it’s true. I really am Beatrice’s real daughter. No wonder she always gave in to me. Even after all I did, she still wanted me to marry her son,‘ Eliana thought. ‘Wait, so Dylan isn’t even her real son?‘
The truth hit Eliana so hard that she just sat there, totally shell–shocked.
After what felt like forever, Eliana finally managed to move.
Eliana’s eyes were full of hate as she wondered, ‘Why did she dump me with the Lambert family? Judging by how they’ve treated me all these years, they must have no clue I’m not really their daughter.
‘Zoe always treated me like I was her own kid. I know that for sure. Then who’s the real child of the Lambert family? Could it be Dylan?‘
Eliana was stunned. She dashed out of the paternity testing center, found the nearest dumpster, shredded the report into pieces, and dumped every scrap inside.
‘No one can ever find out about this, especially not Dylan,‘ Eliana wondered.
Eliana stared at the traffic passing by, and in that moment, she finally realized it was truly over between her and Dylan.
But Eliana still wanted to hold onto one last shred of hope. She refused to let go of Dylan just yet.
There wasn’t another man in the world who could ever love her the way Dylan did.
Eliana pulled out her phone and dialed Dylan.
Dylan’s stomach twisted with discomfort, but when he saw Eliana’s name flash on the screen, he answered anyway.
“Hello,” Dylan said, his voice icy cold.
“Dylan, I was forced into everything that happened back then. Can’t you really forgive me?” Eliana said.
Dylan took a deep breath. “Eliana, I haven’t done anything to hurt you. Consider it the last bit of kindness I owe you, and for those letters you sent that pulled me out of the darkness back then.
“But that’s it. Don’t ever call me again.”
Eliana yelled, her voice breaking with anguish, “Dylan, are you really going to be this cold to me?”
