Dylan hung up, his face growing even darker as the bar incident flashed through his mind.
“Miles, has our guy looking into Jasper reported back yet?” he asked.

Miles replied, “Just got word back. Jasper’s been at home the whole time. He hasn’t stepped out once.”
Dylan narrowed his eyes. Right now, he looked every bit the dangerous lone wolf, brimming with menace.
His gaze was cold and ruthless as he said, “Jasper’s a prime suspect. And get me a meeting with Pierre.”
Miles said, “Mr. Ashford, I tried to meet Pierre in secret, but he refused to see me. He said he wasn’t seeing anyone.”
Miles knew Pierre was up to something, but Pierre wouldn’t spill a word, so getting to the truth was nearly impossible.
Dylan’s eyes flashed with murderous intent. “So, they want to kill Stella just to keep the truth from back then buried.”
Miles nodded. “That’s what I think, too, Mr. Ashford. But without any proof, there’s not much we can do.”
Dylan closed his eyes. Over the years, he’d put his trust in his mom and Eliana, and to avoid hurting Stella, he’d rarely gone home. But in the end, Stella was the one who suffered most.
“Have someone look into where Stella’s living tomorrow,” Dylan said. If he had the time, he wanted to secretly check in on
Stella and her son.
Miles nodded. “Sure thing.”
Miles knew this was a lost cause. He’d already tried digging for that info before, but came up empty.
Still, Miles kept quiet about it, just so Dylan could sleep easily tonight.
‘He was already in pretty bad shape, Miles thought to himself.
Eliana stared at the phone, her face full of malice.
“Dylan, why did you give me hope, only to leave me in despair?” she muttered.
If Beatrice hadn’t forced Eliana to marry Dylan back then, Eliana never would’ve been taken away by Tyler.
Eliana never would’ve gone down the wrong path after leaving the country, never would’ve ended up sick.
Dylan, Stella, if I can’t be happy, then no one else will,” Eliana hissed.
Now that Eliana had something to hold over Beatrice, she could finally make her a pawn Eliana was heading back to lay it all out and force a showdown.
Serena was just getting home when her phone rang It was Chris. “Ms. Hale, Eliana is Beatrice’s daughter,” he revealed
It was like a bomb went off in Serena’s mind. She was completely stunned, her thoughts spinning out of control.
Serena had had her suspicions, but having it confirmed left her reeling-
Serena clutched her phone, completely speechless for a long moment.

Chapter 152
“Ms. Hale, what should we do next?” Chris asked.
Serena came back to herself, gazing at the darkening sky, her heart heavy.

“Get DNA samples from Dylan, Beatrice, and Nolan. I want you to handle it personally. I don’t trust anyone else. And make sure to get the tests done at different labs,” Serena said.
Chris replied, “Got it, Ms. Hale.”
Serena hung up, her feelings all tangled up inside.
‘No wonder Beatrice has treated Eliana so well for so many years, Serena thought. ‘She just wanted to make sure her daughter married in as the daughter–in–law.
‘Since Eliana was her own flesh and blood, she’d always let it slide, no matter what Eliana did.
‘Even if Eliana was a total mess and downright nasty, Beatrice didn’t care about anything else. She still wanted her to marry into the Ashford family.
Serena couldn’t help but wonder, ‘So, what happened to the Lambert kid back then? Could it be Dylan?‘
Her heart skipped a beat as she wondered, ‘If Dylan really is the Lambert family’s kid, then-”
Serena couldn’t bear to think any further. Jasper was nothing but a vampire.
Still uneasy, Serena messaged Chris again, telling him to run DNA tests on Dylan and Jasper. She had to get to the bottom of this, no matter what.
At the hospital, Beatrice returned and didn’t see Eliana anywhere. She was getting worried, and just as she was about to go look for her, Eliana slowly walked in.
Their eyes met, and a flash of hatred flickered in Eliana’s gaze.
Beatrice frowned and said, “Eliana, where have you been?”
