Eliana knew Jasper had no clue about the Ashford family’s secrets, and she saw this as the perfect chance to plant the idea in his head, get Nolan out of the picture.
For Jasper, money was everything. If anyone dared block his path to wealth, it was like stabbing him in the heart. He’d feel the pain just as if he’d lost his own son.
Eliana continued, “Dad, Nolan’s back in Park Avenue, and the first thing he did was try to wreck my chances of marrying Dylan. If I can’t marry Dylan, our whole family is doomed.
“Dylan’s already invested billions into the Lambert family, and honestly, no one’s ever spoiled me as he does. That land’s turned into a total dump again, but Dylan’s always had our backs. He’s been nothing but generous to us.”
“But Nolan’s been running a massive business overseas for years. Even if Dylan goes bankrupt, all those properties abroad are supposed to be his, so the Ashford family won’t go under.
“But with Nolan blocking me, there’s just no way I can marry Dylan. Dad, what am I supposed to do?” Eliana sobbed, her voice trembling with desperation.
Jasper narrowed his eyes, a cold glint flickering within. ‘Messing with my money and my daughter’s future? This guy’s just begging for trouble, he thought.
“Don’t cry, sweetheart. I’ll take care of this for you. Send me a photo. I’ve never even seen what Nolan looks like. If he’s going to block your way into the Ashford family, I’ll make sure he never comes home again,” Jasper said.
Eliana faked a panicked look. “Dad, you can’t do anything crazy, and definitely nothing illegal. Remember what happened at the bar? My brother’s still locked up because of that.”
“Come on, it’s fine. I’ll have someone else take care of it, not me. Stella won’t be able to pin anything on me this time, so just chill. Send me the photo.
“Dylan’s totally wrapped around your finger. Once I clear this roadblock, you got to make sure he pours another few billion into the Lambert family,” Jasper said.
Eliana replied, “Dad, I’ll always do my part for the Lambert family, but you really shouldn’t break the law for this.”
“Alright, alright, I get it. Just focus on Dylan and let me handle everything else,” Jasper said.
With that, he hung up, a satisfied grin spreading across his face as he got up to start plotting his next move.
Meanwhile, Eliana glanced at Beatrice with a knowing smile. “In the end, it’s always me who has to handle the fallout for you‘
Beatrice breathed a sigh of relief. Just moments ago, her contact had called to say Nolan was too well–connected to be bribed, which sent her into a panic. That was when Eliana’s mind went straight to Jasper.
Beatrice couldn’t help feeling a little reluctant about Nolan’s impending death.
But being soft–hearted wouldn’t change anything.
If Nolan survived, Beatrice would be the one who ended up dead.
Eliana said, “Mom, can you go get me something to eat? I’m craving shrimp and abalone from Lamar Palace Restaurant. My hand needs to heal up fast. Only then can I help you scheme and get everything back for the Ashford family.”
Beatrice nodded. ‘At this point, there’s no other way, she thought.

“Oh, and one more thing, Yvonne’s coming back tomorrow. When she’s around, make sure you still call me Mrs. Ashford, understand?” Beatrice said, her tone serious.
A cold glint flashed in Eliana’s eyes. “Got it,” she replied coolly.
