From Divorced Wife To The Top Heiress novel Chapter 19

Spencer fell silent. Truth was, he didn’t know who Serena had donated to back then either. He had simply seen her there.

Spencer said, Dylan, you have Eliana now, and you’re divorced from Stella. These details don’t matter anymore. Can’t you see what you’ve done? You’ve hurt Stella so deeply she collapsed.

A careless word from you can lead to misunderstandings, making those around you go to any lengths to harm her. Your family owes her far too much.

And let’s be honest, Dylan. You’ve been selfish. For all the years she was your wife, Stella fulfilled every duty. Yet you were unfaithful during your marriage, even had a child with someone else.

Meanwhile, Stella had to go to the hospital alone to give birth, and lost the baby. Dylan, you’ve lost any right to stand before her again.

Spencer’s icy tone cut through Dylan like a blade, shredding his heart piece by piece. The pain was so raw it left his whole body trembling.

Dylan stood frozen in place, Spencer’s final words echoing relentlessly in his mind, Do I really no longer have the right to stand before Stella?

Spencer carried Serena straight to the car and drove her to the hospital. Dylan stood motionless, his feet as if weighed down with lead, watching helplessly as Spencer took Serena away.

Just then, the dim lights of the bar suddenly brightened, the harsh glare snapping Dylan back to reality and casting his tall body into a solitary figure, bleak and withdrawn.

Lost in a daze, Dylan eventually made his way back to the Ashford mansion. Eliana was staying there now. He wanted to confirm the doubts growing in his mind.

The day after Dylan’s divorce was finalized, Beatrice had brought Eliana and the child home to be cared for under the same

roof.

The mansion stood quiet under the night sky, but the brightly lit interior made Dylan hesitate.

Without Serena by his side these past days, Dylan felt completely out of sorts. His stomach had always been delicate, and it was Serena who used to cook for him, reminding him to eat on time. That was why his stomach issues hadn’t acted up in

years.

Tonight, he hadn’t managed to eat dinner, and now a dull ache was beginning to stir in his

gut.

Dylan took a deep breath. The air was clear, yet he felt like he couldn’t breathe properly. Shaking his head slightly, he tried to clear the discomfort. He was supposed to love Eliana, but it was Serena who filled his thoughts now.

Dylan strode inside, but the lavish living room was empty. He paused, wondering where everyone had gone.

Just then, Doris Bailey, the housekeeper, emerged from the kitchen. Her face lit up at the sight of him. Mr. Dylan, you’re back. Have you eaten dinner?

Not yet,Dylan replied, rubbing his stomach lightly. Could you prepare something warm for me? My stomach’s bothering me a bit. By the way, where are my mom and Eliana?

Doris quickly explained, Mr. Liam came down with a fever tonight. Mrs. Ashford and Mrs. Eliana took him to the hospital.”

Dylan’s brow furrowed slightly. He suddenly recalled that when Serena used to come here, Doris had never addressed her

with such respectful warmth. But they were divorced now, and he didn’t want to dwell on it.

Which hospital did they go to?Dylan asked, then waved a hand. Never mind, please prepare the food first. I’ll give them at call later.

Doris nodded with a smile and headed back to the kitchen. The dinner she prepared was too greasy, and Dylan could only manage a few bites before pushing it away.

He remembered how Serena’s cooking was always just right. He’d often eat until he was comfortably full without even realizing it. It dawned on him then that over the past three years, Serena had quietly become part of every small detail of his life.

With mixed emotions stirring inside, Dylan finished his meal, asked for the hospital address, and drove straight there.

Dylan had just reached the pediatric ward entrance when he overheard the doctor’s stern voice. He’s still very young. There are many things he shouldn’t eat. How could you, as his mother, let him have so much fried chicken? A child his age has a very delicate digestive system.”

Eliana held the listless Liam in her arms. A flash of intense irritation burned in her eyes, and she silently cursed, This troublesome kid, always causing problems for me!

But in the very next moment, Eliana put on a mask of worried concern. We’ll be more careful next time. We won’t let him eat so much again. Should we start an IV for him now?
