Liam thought it over, considering how to record a video. He suddenly remembered taking selfies before. He could use the camera to film.

Liam understood now. Then he lowered his head, slipping back into his usual, seemingly less bright demeanor.

Lost in his own thoughts about Serena, Dylan didn’t notice the shift in Liam’s expression. He simply picked him up and carried him to the bathroom to wash up.

Serena arrived at Kismet Bar with Yolanda and immediately made personnel changes, appointing Yolanda as the bar’s Executive President.

Upon receiving the notice, Vincent Rivers, the manager, quickly came to the lobby to greet Yolanda and

Serena.

Vincent was thirty–five, fairly handsome, tall and slender, with a sharp, capable look. His well–tailored suit added to his polished, professional image.

“Ms. Lane,” Vincent greeted with an easy smile, playing the part of the gracious host. “Is this a surprise inspection? We don’t get many guests during the day. Most of our business happens in the evening.”

Yolanda responded with a cold smile. “With the cocktails your bartenders have been serving, do you really think we’d have any customers left?

“Every month this place loses money–close to one million just this month alone. Across all our bars, we’re looking at losses in the hundreds of millions. Instead of finding the cause, Mr. Rivers, you’ve been ordering alcoholic beverages in bulk. What’s the reason for that?”

Vincent’s face paled, and he trembled slightly. ‘Has headquarters sent them because they’ve found something out?‘ he wondered.

He forced a smile and explained, “Ms. Lane, with the year–end approaching, alcohol prices are set to rise. I was just preparing in advance–thinking of the bar and the company’s best interests.”

Vincent lowered his gaze, hiding a flicker of scorn. He was confident this inexperienced young woman was no match for him.

Yolanda infuriated by his dismissive attitude, retorted, “Mr. Rivers, we’ve had professionals investigate. The alcohol served here tastes poor, and the ingredients are clearly not fresh. Even the once–popular beers now have no customers. The bartender is your relative, and the drinks he prepares are worse than those at an ordinary bar.”

Vincent’s expression shifted completely. “Ms. Lane, you can’t make such outright false claims. I took over the manager position at Kismet Bar from my father. Our family has served this bar for two generations. How could you tarnish our reputation like this?”

Serena’s gaze hardened as she fixed it on Vincent. “Mr. Rivers, no one is denying the contributions you and your father made. But the results of our investigation are also facts.

“Effective immediately, Kismet Bar will cease all cooperation with Simon Winery. We will find new suppliers, and an official announcement will be posted on our website at once.”

Realizing they had come fully prepared, Vincent trembled with rage. His eyes turned red and his fists clenched tightly beneath his perfectly pressed sleeves. Every line of his body radiated fury, as if he had been profoundly insulted.

“Ms. Lane,” he demanded, “is this your idea as well? I oversee the alcohol supply. How could I possibly order counterfeit stock? How dare you accuse me like this?”
