Serena pulled out a tissue and gently wiped away Kendall’s tears. Smiling, she said, “Mrs. Brett, don’t stress yourself out. As for the truth you’re searching for, just wait. The person who truly loves you will tell you when the time comes.”
“Go home and look after your kid for now. The company stuff is covered. Eliana won’t be on her high horse for much longer, trust me. We’ll figure out a new plan for the design.”
Kendall stared at her, unable to hold back. “Ms. Hale, who exactly is the person who loves me most?”
She couldn’t shake the feeling that it might be connected to her real mother.
She also knew Serena was far from ordinary.
Zoe’s words echoed in Serena’s mind, but in the end, she kept them to herself and didn’t tell Kendall.
After walking Kendall upstairs, Serena quietly took her leave.
As Serena headed downstairs and was reaching for her car door, she noticed Dylan hadn’t left yet.
He stood there in the chilly wind, looking more mature than before, but he still had that irresistible allure and natural bad- boy charm.
Serena couldn’t shake the feeling that something had changed in the way Dylan looked at her.
His eyes were filled with deep affection, yet there was something mysterious she couldn’t quite figure out.
He’d hurt her so much, but she couldn’t bear to see him die.
He was the boy from her past.
Even if fate kept them apart, she’d have no regrets about how she treated him.
That’s why, when her mentor came to her, she gave him the formula without a second thought, so he could use it to treat Dylan.
“Stella, do you have a minute? Can we talk?” Dylan’s voice was soft, his gaze lingering on her with a gentle warmth.
Serena’s heart skipped a beat at how tenderly he called her name. She shook her head. “I don’t have time. I’m meeting a friend. There’s really nothing left for us to say. Everything’s already been said.”
She didn’t meet his disappointed eyes as she ducked into the car, her movements betraying her uncase,
As the car door shut, sealing her off from the world outside, Serena noticed that even in the freezing cold, her palms were slick with sweat; not even she knew what she was so nervous about.
Dylan watched the car pull away, a meaningful smile tugging at his lips. This time, he was determined not to give up.
Time was on his side; he’d get everything he wanted, sooner or later.
Dylan straightened up and got into the car waiting for him. He had a business meeting to attend tonight. Once inside, he glanced at Miles and said, “Take me to see Vivian.”
Miles nodded. “Sure thing.”
Dylan looked over at the project plan sitting next to him, feeling sure of himself; he knew this was going to work

Inside the private room at Golden Age, Serena stepped in and saw Vivian already waiting for her.
“Serena, you’re here!” Vivian greeted her with a bright smile.
Serena grinned as she walked over. “How did you get here so quickly?”
Vivian was practically glowing. “I went to an audition today and totally nailed it! That’s why I wanted you here to celebrate with me. Honestly, I’m just riding your coattails with Cloudmere Group’s entertainment division.”
Since I’ve got nothing else going on these days, I figured I might as well have some fun in showbiz.
Serena watched her, seeing how genuinely happy Vivian was these days. “As long as you’re happy, that’s all that matters. I’ve already put in a word for you; nobody’s gonna mess with you.”
‘Obviously! With you personally vouching for me, anyone who tries to mess with me would have to be out of their mind. I figured, once I finish filming this show, it’ll be almost New Year’s, so I’m planning to take three months off after that.”
Yeah, you always have your schedule packed to the brim.” Serena said with a smile.
Vivian’s life was already packed, and things were only going to get crazier from here.
Serena watched Vivian, who always seemed to float through life like she didn’t have a care in the world, and sometimes she wished her own life could be that easy.
Vivian had been living life on her own terms these past few years, and Serena couldn’t help but envy how free she was.
Serena had tried living that way herself for a while, but it just left her feeling empty and broken.
Hehe… I’m definitely not the girlboss type. I’m just gonna have as much fun as I can while I’ve still got the chance,” Vivian said with a cheeky grin.
Vivian grabbed the teapot and poured Serena a cup of the tea she knew Serena loved.
Serena, this is your favorite tea. I brought it just for you. Go ahead and take the rest home to enjoy later,” Vivian said, flashing a playful smile.
Serena’s eyes lit up with amusement. “Wow, look at you, my best friend actually trying to bribe me now.”
