“Dylan, you’re here, too,” Eliana said, her eyes fixated on him with an intensity that bordered on obsession.

“All the pain you and your people caused Stella. I’ll pay you back for every bit of it. Even when you’re out there, you never stop plotting against her, no matter the cost.

“This is just the start. From now on, you’ll spend every day looking over your shoulder.

“Stella is the one I’ve always treasured most, and you, someone like you, wrecked that. You tainted my whole life.”

Every word Dylan spat out was dripping with contempt and fury toward Eliana.

Dylan despised having to do this, but he could never let go of the pain Stella had suffered.

He knew he was part of the problem, but the ones he hated most were his mother and Eliana.

Dylan said, “Because of your deliberate plotting and sabotage, I lost the person I loved most, Stella. She showed me her softest side, but all I could see was you.
