Beatrice was fuming, grinding her teeth in anger. She cared deeply for Eliana but refused to blindly support the Lambert family.
She didn’t care if the Lambert family went bankrupt. All she wanted was for Eliana to marry Dylan and live a comfortable life.
Dylan wasn’t feeling well today, but he still came to see his son. At his mother’s words, his expression darkened slightly. “Mom, I know how to handle the company’s affairs. You don’t need to worry.”
Beatrice stomped her foot in frustration, thinking, ‘Stubborn boy, always so single–minded and thick–headed.’
She said, “How are you going to handle this? Kismet Bar hired a top bartender Julian Sinclair and already announced it on their official website. You’re partnering with the Lambert family, and anyone who’s been to the bar knows whose drinks taste terrible.
“Don’t you realize the truth yet? The Lambert family is selling counterfeit liquor.”
Dylan frowned in discomfort, his whole body feeling unwell.
For the past three years, he had been eating meals cooked by Stella and receiving massages and treatments from her. His body had never felt this bad before.
“I get it.” Dylan headed upstairs. At the staircase landing, he saw Eliana holding their child, waiting for him.
Eliana’s eyes were red from crying. She was genuinely happy that Dylan was supporting the Lambert family.
“Dylan, thank you. I know Mrs. Ashford isn’t happy, but don’t worry. Once we’re married, I’ll take good care of Mrs. Ashford,” Eliana said.
She didn’t know why, but Beatrice’s favoritism toward her never ceased. However, among the Lambert family members, Beatrice only liked Eliana and disliked everyone else.
At the mention of marriage, Dylan’s eyes flickered.
“Okay.” He gave a perfunctory nod, glancing at Liam cradled in Eliana’s arms.
Dylan softened his expression, a gentle smile appearing on his handsome face. “Liam, come here. Let me hold you,” he said.
Liam glanced at Dylan but still reached out his hand for a hug.
Eliana’s perfume was overpowering, making Liam feel nauseous.
Eliana looked at Liam and then at Dylan, smiling with pure happiness. “This is the happiness I’ve always dreamed of. I must get better and have Dylan’s child,‘ she thought.
“Dad, can you take me to where you live tonight? I miss you,” Liam said, looking at his father with hopeful
eyes.

Today, Liam overheard the conversation between Eliana and Beatrice and learned that Dylan had another place where he lived.
‘Mom and Dad have a home together. It must smell like Mom. I miss Mom so much, her scent is so warm,’ Liam thought.
Dylan’s usually solemn face was now full of smiles, and his voice softened involuntarily. “Liam, I’ll be busy for a while. Stay here with your grandma and mom. I’ll come see you whenever I have time.”
Eliana was a little surprised, thinking, ‘Liam usually doesn’t talk to me much. Why is he suddenly acting so affectionate around Dylan?
‘Well, it’s good. If Liam gets closer to Dylan, Dylan will miss him more and care for me more. After all, I’m his mother.’
“Okay.” Liam lowered his eyes, disappointed.
Liam’s back hurt badly. Eliana had hit him again today.
She beat him while yelling at him. Only then did Liam realize that Stella didn’t know that he was her son.
Liam was gathering evidence from videos. He wanted to return to his mother’s side.
