“Dylan, three years ago, when I was pregnant, you bought a bottle of lubricant. I kept it upstairs, but when I went back later, it was gone.

“Didn’t you put lubricant on the stairs so I wouldn’t have the chance to give birth to that child? If I’m not mistaken, that smell was definitely lubricant,” Serena said.

“I slipped on the lubricant and fell,” she added.

Dylan’s breath caught, he had no idea about any of this.

He sneered, “Stella, I understand your pain over losing the baby, but don’t wrongfully accuse me like this.”

Serena’s heart ached so much that she could barely breathe.

The more she thought about it now, the clearer everything seemed.

“Dylan, those days you kept taking calls nonstop. You went to be with Eliana, didn’t you? So you wanted to kill my child?” Serena’s voice trembled, unable to contain the fury welling inside her.

Dylan snapped angrily, “Stella, what nonsense are you spouting? Even if I didn’t like that kid, there’s no way I would’ve taken his life. As for the lubricant, I don’t know anything about it.”

“Fine, Dylan. Even though this happened three years ago, I’m going to find out exactly how my son died.

“You’d better have done nothing, or I’ll drag you down with him, even if it kills me.” Serena’s eyes were bloodshot as she stared at the hospital before her.

Clenching her fists tightly, she summoned the courage and rushed inside.

Serena went straight to the nurse’s station on the fourth floor. “Is Ms. Avery here? She’s excellent in gynecology, I know her and want to see her,” she said.

The nurse glanced at Serena. “Yes, Ms. Avery is in her office. You can go right in, but she’s not seeing patients today. Just ask her when she’ll be available since you know her.”

Serena smiled, “Thank you.”
