The man said, “She went to see that doctor for a gynecological issue, but when she saw the doctor was busy, she left. It seems she didn’t get an appointment today.”

Beatrice paused briefly, wondering, ‘Could it be that Stella has no suspicions at all?‘

“Alright, I got it. Keep watching her closely. If Stella starts asking about the child at the hospital, notify me immediately,” Beatrice ordered.

“Understood, Mrs. Ashford.” The man hung up and resumed his game.

Beatrice knew that Liam calling her “mom” might raise Stella’s suspicions.

She glanced upstairs and decided to have a word with Eliana.

Beatrice pushed open the door and saw Eliana playing a game. The child was on the floor surrounded by toys, left to entertain himself.

Beatrice frowned slightly.

Liam noticed Beatrice enter, grabbed his phone, and sneaked off a short distance to secretly record a video.

Then he sat on the floor pretending to focus on his toy excavator and Ultraman figure.

“Mrs. Ashford, do you need something?” Eliana put her phone aside.

Eliana looked a bit nervous. The Lambert family’s troubles had cost Dylan a lot, and Beatrice definitely held some resentment toward her.

But over the years, Beatrice had supported Eliana, naming her the only candidate for Dylan’s wife.

Eliana felt somewhat entitled and smiled confidently.

Beatrice said, “Don’t bring Liam around Stella anymore. Stella is sharp. The Ashford family owes a lot of their success to her, but I have never acknowledged that in front of outsiders.

“All these years, we’ve been working together to deceive Dylan. He must never find out, or everything will fall apart. Treat Liam well, don’t hit him every time you get frustrated.

“Even if he’s not your biological son, treat him right. After all, he is Dylan’s biological child.”

Eliana was annoyed. “Mrs. Ashford, back then, we took a huge risk. Now that we’ve succeeded, I want to have my own child with him. As for Stella’s child? I don’t want Liam to be the heir.”

Beatrice’s eyes flickered, but she said nothing, thinking, ‘Dylan’s son absolutely cannot become the heir.

“Good. I came up just to tell you this. For a while, don’t show up with Liam in front of Stella. Under no circumstances should she see the child,” Beatrice instructed.

Hearing the door close, Eliana turned to Liam on the floor and shouted angrily, “Boy, you don’t even say a word. What good are you to me? When your father comes back, you’d better talk to him more so he likes you better.

“And next time you dare call Stella ‘mom, I’ll tear your mouth apart.”

Liam’s hand trembled slightly as he played with the Ultraman.

‘She doesn’t want me to see Mom? Hmph. Once I gather enough evidence, I’m going to report her to the police,‘ he wondered.

Liam spent three days figuring out how to report child abuse.

‘I will get back to Mom,‘ he thought.

Eliana was furious, but Liam didn’t respond at all. She was terrified he might be useless.

That entire day, Liam didn’t say a single word.

He kept to himself, almost like he had autism.

After all, Eliana tampered with things back then to make Stella die. It was inevitable that Liam would have problems with his health.

Meanwhile, after answering Serena’s call, Dylan had been very upset.

‘What kind of tactics is she using? The child is gone. I feel the pain, too, Dylan thought. ‘But the child is gone all the same.‘

He furrowed his brows, leaning back in the rear seat with a cold, dark gaze. Taking a deep breath, he tried not to take it seriously and dismissed it as Serena’s anger and harsh words.
