“This is also my name. In this world, I have two names. You can keep calling me Stella, but from now on, I’l go back to being Serena,” Serena said with a gentle smile.

“Then I’ll call you Serena,” Spencer replied with a smile. Her smile lit up her eyes, and her brows curved so beautifully. It seemed like a weight had lifted from his heart, no more of that faint sadness lingering in his expression.

Serena didn’t mind at all.

Spencer looked at her tenderly. She was truly beautiful, and that mischievous smile was his favorite look on her.

He still remembered the day they first met.

“Serena, do you remember the day we met at the hospital? You were sitting in a wheelchair, holding a string of jasmine, grinning so playfully,” Spencer said.

That was the moment he instantly fell for her.

In that instant, a seed of infatuation was planted deep inside Spencer’s heart.

A few months later, when they met again, she was already Dylan’s wife.

Serena recalled it clearly. “I remember. The wheelchair tipped backward that time. If it weren’t for that, I might’ve gotten hurt.”

“Serena, let’s go have dinner,” Spencer said.

He walked over, picked up her bag from the sofa, and as their fingers touched for a brief moment, a tingling warmth shot through his chest.

His heart suddenly raced. However, when he saw Serena’s calm expression, a faint trace of disappointment flickered in his eyes.

Spencer had reserved a private room at a restaurant.

They had to enter through a narrow alley where cars couldn’t fit, but there were attendants outside to valet park.

Spencer handed the car to the valet and then led Serena through the alley.

“Serena, this place is owned by a friend of mine. The food here is really good. You’ll see for yourself. I bet you’ll want to come back again,” he said.

“Okay.” Serena glanced ahead at the alley. It carried an elegant vibe; the sun was setting, the light fading gently, casting a hazy glow over everything, making the place feel both mysterious and timeless.

She smiled, “This place is pretty hidden. Most people probably wouldn’t find it.”

“Yes. They do take online reservations, but you have to dine in. You can book a table, and the dishes here are seriously amazing. My friend is the head chef,” said Spencer.

Spencer really enjoyed eating here.

“Wow, having a chef friend must be nice,” Serena said. The chefs at Cloudmere Estate cooked well, too.

Serena had learned cooking skills. Whether it was culinary arts or health–promoting cuisine, she was quite skilled.

They talked and walked. Just then, Dylan and Miles appeared not far away.

Miles looked at Dylan, puzzled. “Mr. Ashford, your mom told us to come home for dinner tonight. Ms. Lambert said she’d personally cook your favorite roast lamb chops.”

Eliana had called Miles early this morning, insisting that Dylan come home.

But after work, Dylan had Miles sent him here instead.

Dylan didn’t pay attention to Miles’s words. When Dylan watched Spencer laughing and chatting with Serena from behind, his mood grew restless.

“Tell them I’m not coming back for dinner. They don’t have to wait for me,” Dylan said, then quickened his

pace.
