The general-track students dropped their heads in silence, embarrassment written all over their faces.

The teacher let out a tired sigh. “This is disappointing. All of you. When you go back, you’d beuer put in the work. Class dismissed.”

An unnatural quiet settled over the lecture hall.

Then, laughter erupted from the back rows.

The international program students were openly mocking them, throwing the same ridicule back at the general-track class that they had once endured themselves.

Faces burning, the general-track students had no choice but to file out of the tiered classroom, slipping away as quickly as they could and retreating to their own building,

Inside the international program wing, the atmosphere was completely different.

The girls crowded around Seraphina, cheering loudly, treating her like a legend.

One “boss” after another rolled off their tongues without hesitation.

Chloe was the most exaggerated of all, hovering around her nonstop, following her lead so closely it was almost comical, as if she were one step away from hand-feeding her.

Watching the scene, a few of the boys sighed in frustration.

“Ethan, should we challenge her again?” one of them muttered. “Even if we lose, we can’t just roll over. We’re guys. We can’t look weak.”

Ethan clenched his jaw. “Get lost.”

The boys didn’t argue. They scattered immediately.

One of them pulled out his phone and typed furiously, sending a message on WhatsApp.

He typed quickly, “Josh, this is bad. The international program is changing hands.”

At this point, they could only pin their hopes on Josh Hawthorne, the most notorious name at Valedawn.

Just wait. Once Josh came back, he would reclaim the dignity they had lost.

At the same time, inside a bar, Josh took a slow sip of his drink, letting the alcohol linger as his body moved with the music. His eyes lingered lazily on the women dancing nearby.

Zachary strode over and bumped his shoulder. “Why is it just you?”

Josh laughed loudly. “Wesley and Elliot had some big family thing. Alex is stuck in Tanelle. Looks like it’s just the two of us.”

“What about Cassian?” Zachary asked, taking a drink from the bartender.

Josh pointed at the bruise on his forehead, his tone sour. “Look at this. You think I dare mess with burn right now?”

Zachary corrected him instantly. “Wrong. It’s not Cassian you can’t mess with. It’s his girl

No one knew what she looked like yet, but whoever she was, she had Cassian completely wrapped around her finger.

The group had already agreed on one rule for survival.

Anyone could be offended. She could not. Josh cursed under his breath. “Damn it. She’s a walking disaster

Then he sighed. By coincidence, Zachary sighed too.

They looked at each other.

Josh took another drink, propping his chin on his hand. “And now we’ve got another disaster in my class.

The whole place was in chaos. Messages kept coming in nonstop.

He had only enrolled at Valedawn University to get a degree on paper. He never planned on actually attending classes seriously.

And with his face still bruised, how was he supposed to show up anyway?

Zachary nodded in agreement. “Same here. I ran into one too.”

He had pulled an all-nighter handling something Seraphina asked him to investigate.

He thought at least she’d thank him. Instead, all he got was a single word.

Received. That was it. Pure menace.

The two clinked glasses in mutual misery. “Cheers.”

The next morning, a crowd gathered outside the international program building at Valedawn University. Voices could be heard from a distance.

Students from other departments stopped to watch.

Someone had broken into the general-track classroom overnight and deliberately destroyed personal belongings.

Seat cushions were cut apart. Lotion was squeezed all over textbooks. Ink was poured into water bottles. Pens snapped in half. Wireless earbuds crushed underfoot and kicked across the floor.
