Chapter 79 Framed

It was ridiculous.

They showed up at the international program’s door and accused them without proof.

Based on what? Sabrina sneered. “We have proof.”

A male student tossed a phone at Chloe’s feet.

She hesitated, then picked it up and played the video. Security footage. The timestamp read 10:01 p.m.the night before.

A shadowy figure appeared, head lowered, deliberately avoiding the cameras. The person moved row by row, destroying personal items with deliberate precision.

Anything interesting was slipped into a backpack.

The certificates and banners on the wall were taken down, cut into strips, and dumped into a trash bin.

After finishing, the person quietly shut the door and left.

The face in the footage was clear. It was Seraphina.

Chloe stared at the screen. “That’s impossible.”

She frowned. “It didn’t happen.”

She had walked out of school with Seraphina the night before. They passed a night market, spotted burgers that looked irresistible, bought two, one each, and then went their separate ways.

“The evidence is right there,” someone scoffed. “What’s left to argue?”

“I left campus with her last night,” Chloe said firmly. “I can vouch for that.”

Sabrina laughed coldly. “Please. Ever since Seraphina showed up, you’ve been glued to her, pushing her as the queen of the international program. Anything you say is biased.”

“I’m not lying,” Chloe shot back, pounding her chest. “This wasn’t her. I swear on my integrity.”

“Integrity?” Sabrina snapped. She hadn’t expected Seraphina to build loyalty so fast. The resentment only burned hotter.

She tilted her head at the guy next to her. “Go in. Smash everything she owns. Desk, chair, all of it. Throw it outside.”

“Yeah, throw it out,” the general-track students shouted.

Several people rushed toward the classroom.

Hey, stop. You can’t go in there,” Chloe cried, stepping forward to block them.

“Move.”

She was shoved aside, slammed into a desk, then knocked to the floor.

Sabrina rolled her eyes, walked over, and didn’t bother to help. She spat to the side in disgust. “That’s what happens when you play loyal guard dog.”

“Stop.”

A male voice cut through the noise. Everyone turned. Ethan stood there. Behind him, Seraphina was walking toward the classroom.

The onlookers parted instinctively.

Ethan rushed in and helped Chloe up. Seraphina followed, her gaze sweeping across the room.

She glanced at the wreckage, her expression flat. Then she turned to Chloe leaning against the wall.

Her thigh was scraped raw and bleeding. A dark bruise was spreading along her arm.

Seraphina’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Her face showed nothing. But somehow, the students nearest to her felt the temperature drop.
