My hand reached out to my face, gently touching my eyes that I thought was normal, when Lucien caught my wrist and prevent me from touching it.
“Don’t touch it,” he says. “Your eyes are sensitive now. I’ll have to ask Arnold to bring a blindfold on you, preventing your pupils from damaging further.”
Hearing this, my heart went cold. “Does that mean I will be blind forever?”
A warm hand gently brushed my cheeks. “Don’t worry, I already requested for your grandma’s visit and I believe your eyesight will be back—it just that you had pushed yourself to your limits and eyesights had a sensitive nerves.”
I pursed my lips, remembering my scarlett vision that night just to lock it and see auras that could help me determine the presence of the wolves.
Which is also the reason why I easily find my son’s direction. I used it all up against the enemies, preventing them from moving further and it also helped me make my movements even faster while in my eyes, they moved slower.
Because I had been using it for hours, it took a toil in my body and disregarded the blood dripping from my eyes, brushing it off like there would be no consequences of it later.
And now that everything is all good, I am not burdened with the consequences-which is losing my eyesight and I hope this
is just temporary.
“How long was I asleep?” I asked with my eyes closed since whether I opened it or not, the results are still the same.
Everything is dark.
“You’ve been asleep for three days,” he answered.
I raised my head, ‘looking at him in his direction. “Really? I thought I would wake up later than that. It was my first time waking up earlier than I thought after using those abilities.”
“I asked Agnes about it and she says it’s because you wanted to wake up badly that you woke up,” he calmly said. ‘..however. since your body haven’t fully rested from the damage it took, there would be side effects to it.”
(*
“I see…” I sighed helplessly. “It seemed that the side effects she was talking about was the loss of my eyesight.”
‘Hm.”
I could tell from his tone that he was worried and anxious for me, especially that I had temporarily lost my eyesight.
I reached out to his head, gently patting it. I’m okay and besides, it’s much better than being bridden and fell into slumber for months, right?”
I felt his breath brushed on my neck as he tightened his hold on my waist. “Yeah but I’d rather there’s no bad effect on your body”
I let out a soft chuckle and buried my face on his hair. “Well, it can’t be helped. It’s my punishinent for being reckless, and besides, I can fully rest from my duties as the Luna for a while and also I might have to trouble you to be my eyes’

It’s not ouble at all he hoarsely said. “I’m willing to be your eyes.”

The corner of my lips raised. Although it feels weird and overwhelming to suddenly lose my eyesight and everything was too dark for me that I have tokely on my senses to ‘see’ and imagine what they were doing based on what I touch and sense -yet for some reason, I don’t feel weird or panic.
Because I know that my Alpha will always be with me-and he will always do.
And besides, it feels like I haven’t lose my eyesight whenever I’m with him either.
“By the way, how’s our little one?” I asked in his arms.
“He was in a good health and the events three days ago seemed to have been forgotten in his mind especially the kid whom he had asked me to saved had awoken-they both seemed to have clicked and get along.” Lucien answered with a calm tone.
I breath a sigh in relief. “I see, it’s a good thing that he’s doing well along with that kid. We owe him a lot about it.”
“Hm,” he nodded. “I have tried to stop Archer from knowing what happened to you-even lied that you were working but he still found out about it.”
I looked at him in surprise. “And? What happened?”
“He had found out that I was lying so I have no other choice but to tell him the truth and let him enter our room. When he saw that you were unconscious, he cried about it so I have to get Claude, which is the friend he made, to play with Archer.” Lucien started playing with my hair, twirling it to his fingers while burying his face on my neck as if he was inhaling my
scent.
I pursed my lips, letting out a sigh before nodding my head. “I see, then I have to see our little one and let him know that I’m okay now-just that I had lost my eyesight.”
“If I drop blood to your eye, will it heal?” Lucien suddenly asked, changing the subject to another topic completely.
I paused and couldn’t even open my mouth to answer. I don’t even know if that works.
“You fed me with your blood while I was asleep?” I asked, frowning.
I felt him shake his head. “You healed on your own while you were sleeping so there was no need for me to feed you with my blood and I know you wouldn’t like it either. It’s just that I didn’t expect you would lose your eyesight.”

Well, I should have expected it the moment my eyes started bleeding from overuse.
‘It would be dangerous.”

Both Lucien and I, froze when we heard a familiar voice coming from behind us and instinctively looked ahead to see her that seemed to be standing in front of the door
“Natasha,” I heard Lucien called out.
I could hear the sound of her heels clicking on the floor which she purposely doesn’t announce that she was walking towards despite the fact that she usually walked without any sounds.
I snapped back from my thoughts and raised my head to look in her direction “Grandmother What do you mean by that?”
I felt those warm hands gently rub my hair then it went down to my face, gently brushing my cheeks with her thumb and it went to my eyelid. “This is just temporary–she had woken up earlier than the usual time phrase of our abilities as part of the Dark Moon, which is why your body wasn’t able to heal your eyes”

Hell warm clothes wrapped around my eyes-a blindfold she put to cover my eyes.
“Wear this temporarily so that it will prevent the light from touching your already sensitive eyes,” she said.
I nodded my head. “How long does this blindness heal?”

“I don’t know either, but given that you’re supposed to sleep for at least three to five months, it might take a long time so you have to get used to it.” Natasha answered, her voice was calm but I know that she was telling me it’s the consequences of being hard-headed and for being stubborn.
Indeed. I didn’t expect that if I didn’t wake up three days earlier, I would have to sleep for at least three to five months to recover which is far too long. It might also make my Alpha anxious and scared-which is the reason why he forbade me from using these abilities ever again yet I didn’t listen.
I could even feel his anxiousness through the tightening of his arms around my waist and even if he tried to hide it, I could still sense it through the bond between us.
Besides, I’m reluctant to fall asleep that long because aside from that I would make Lucien anxious, my child too, might also get anxious about it and besides, I might miss the growth of my son.
It was really a good thing that I woke up early. I can accept this temporary blindness instead of sleeping for too long.
“Is there a way for her to regain her eyesight faster?” I heard Lucien asked. “What do you mean I can’t use my blood on her?”
“Well,” Natasha seemed to sit on the other chair across from us. “If you use your blood on her eyes, it will damage it completely and she might become blind.”
Her words made us freeze.
She continued. “Her eyes were in their sensitive phrase right now and it cannot be hit by the sun or anything-not even be poked accidentally because it can cause permanent blindness.”
I heard her let out a sigh. “That’s why you have to protect your eyes at this phrase. The cloth I used to blindfold your eyes- don’t take it off, not even if you would take a bath or shower.”
My hand reached the blindfold of my eyes, feeling the soft fabric. “What does this do?”
“Just think of it as a protective cover. It will protect your eyes from being damaged so don’t take it off-well, even if you take it out, it won’t still come off.”
“So, how does this come off?”
‘Once it has done its service, it will naturally take off on its own.”
