A cruel smile curled his lips. “His mama is still in a coma. His papa is busy clinging to her side. And the Alpha never lets his son into that room.”

He scoffed. “No one would even notice he’s gone.”

Claude didn’t respond.

Instead, he let out a low, mocking chuckle and tilted his head,

“So why act now?” he asked calmly. “Guilty?”

Then he laughed.

“Guilty?” he echoed, amused. “I’m the one who let the enemies in and out of this place. I guided them–right under the Alpha and Luna’s noses.” His grin widened. “Do you really think they’ve realized I betrayed them?”

My blood turned ice–cold.

Shun sighed, rubbing his temples as if mildly inconvenienced. “I’ll admit, it wasn’t easy. Kane was ordered to guard with me. For seven days, you were lucky.”

Claude’s gaze sharpened. “Where is he?”

Shun paused–then smiled broadly. “Relax. I didn’t kill him.”

He leaned in, voice light. “But his condition is critical. He’s the reason it took me eight days to act.”

He stepped closer to Claude, eyes gleaming with madness.

“Mad dog,” he said cheerfully, “I’m not ashamed of what I’ve done. I’m proud.”

He spread his arms wide. “Once I bring Archer back, the lord will grant me an official title. A real rank.”

His voice dripped with contempt. “Instead of being ordered around here–bowing my head, obeying an Alpha–I’ll stand above others.”

His smile turned sharp. “I don’t regret a single thing.”

I bit my lips so hard that I could even taste my own blood, watching as Claude remained silent but his gaze had become even inere darker that it made Shun laughed.

“I know you’re the same as me,” Shun laughed. “Why stop yourself? Besides, shouldn’t you be grateful that you are the heir of the Montero Pack? You have a high status yet you cling to that brat. Are you willing to let yourself bow your head and lick his ass?”

What lick my ass! I am not that perverted! And I never even tried making Claude lick my ass either!

Before Shun could open his mouth to taunt again, Claude finally spoke.

I almost screamed.

I had to clamp my hand over my mouth, forcing the sound down my throat.

Then Shun laughed as if he finds this interesting at all.

His lips stretched wide, eyes dark and feverish as he wiped the blood with his thumb–and licked it.

My stomach twisted in disgust.

This kind of look of him made me feel like he was just toying with Claude and I know that Claude feel it too, that’s why his murderous intent surged, aiming precisely to kill Shun.

He smiled. “So forgive me if I accidentally kill you today. You betrayed the lord and chose the enemy’s side. If I spare you now, you’ll only kill us later.”

My chest tightened.

When Shun got too close–Claude bit him, teeth snapping viciously.

He fought like a mad dog–wild, brutal, relentless. He seemed like he was trying to live up to the nickname that was given to him.

No, he really is a mad dog himself–he would become untamed, wild, indifferent to death if he was provoked.

Watching him, my heart pounded painfully.

Shun staggered back, fury erupting.

“You filthy mutt!” Shun roared.
