Chapter 218 Fix Misunderstandings

I stepped out of the room and made my way toward the main gate. Since Kathleen had told me to meet him and tell him she cannot meet with him tonight, I’ll be here to deliver those words for Kathleen
From a distance, I could already hear Kane’s voice–firm, unwavering, and had stick to what Kathleen told him.
To let Draco leave.
When I arrived, I saw him standing tall before the gates, blocking Draco’s path and preventing him from having the ideas of going inside.
“I won’t leave until I see her,” Draco said. His tone was calm, controlled-
-but his eyes weren’t.
They were restless, desperate, and determined.
“I’ll stay here until she comes out to meet me.”
However, Kane didn’t waver from his words. After all, he had seen Kathleen cried, feeling restless, lonely, and in pain while staying here in the pack and just tried to hide all of those emotions so that no one would worry nor ask her about it.
But guessing with Kane and Kathleen’s playful banter, I’m sure that he knows about what Kathleen was going through despite that Kathleen never told her about it.
I’m sure that one he never knows was the fact that Kathleen had miscarriage and got into depression because of it- otherwise, for Kane who was always calm, he might falter because of it.
“She doesn’t want to meet you. Please go back,” he repeated coldly, his expression unreadable as always yet he remained polite.
Just as Draco was about to speak again, I slowly walked towards their direction and his gaze shifted past Kane-
-and landed on me.
Relief flooded his features as if seeing and meeting me would mean that he can see Kathleen.
“Luna,” he greeted respectfully.
Hearing this, Kane stiffened and turned sharply. “Luna? Why did you come out? I can handle the affairs here.”
I met his gaze calmly. “Kathleen asked me to.”
I stepped forward slightly. “Go back to my room. No one’s guarding Kathleen and the children while I’m here.”
I’m afraid that someone whose not straight minded might use it to their advantage to attack the children–which I doubt for now especially that I had caught the spies that Kaya had sniffed out from this pack, plus Lucien was currently dealing with the Monteros, raiding to their base.
I doubt they still have the time and nerve to come here to kidnapped my children.
And if they will, they are always welcome to face me before they could face the kids.
I snapped from my thoughts, watching as Kane hesitate for half a second before nodding his head.
“Understood.”
Without another word, he turned and left–not even bothering to look back at Draco.
After he left, silence had filled between Draco and me.

He stood outside the gates, unable to enter. It seemed that the moment the patrols had told him that there was someone who’d like to meet Kathleen, Kane had already told them to not let him get in regarding his title or status.
As a result, the Alpha of Ironfang remained beyond the Nightshade’s gates, currently begging for us to let him in and let him see his mate.
However, his mate had to choose to see him tomorrow. If I didn’t talk with Kathleen, letting her realize her feelings and let her think through it, I doubt if she would meet Draco tomorrow.
Who knows, maybe their relationship might have grown colder.
My eyes fell onto Draco who was desperate.
But I know that no matter what, Draco would always choose Kathleen and would chase after her, loving her, and be with her like he always does.
Chapter 218 Fix Misunderstandings
I raised my brows crossing my arms under my armpits. “You came.”
+was late.”
Tdidn’t deny it. “Indeed, you were half a month late. So, why are you here?”
He pressed his lips, rubbing his temples. “I’ve been dealing with the affairs of my pack within those half a month, dealing with their words, and once finished and made sure that there was no threats in the packs–plus I’ve already assigned someone to manage the pack temporarily while the Luna and Alpha was away, I immediately left the pack despite their protest.”
I raised my brows, and wasn’t surprised at this. Have you found out that the elders were constantly pressuring your Luna about having an heir despite knowing that the Luna was suffering from post partum depression and dealing with the pain of losing her child?”
Pain flashed in his eyes. “I just found out about it when she left… I happened to hear the elders talking about it.”
His eyes darkened. “I had removed that elder from his position, telling everyone that anyone who does not respect my Luna, is the same as disrespecting the Alpha. Since they don’t respect my Luna, I’ll leave the pack.”
He paused, letting out a mocking laugh. “They all stopped me, sealing the pack and preventing me from leaving. What I did do was to cultivate my shadow guards who remained loyal to me from childhood until now. I trained the four of them to manage the pack while I’m away and if there are any threats that they couldn’t solve, they will call me right away.”
He looked at me in the eyes. “That’s how I managed to leave the pack–still, it took me half a month. I was afraid that my Luna would overthink that I took long. Despite the fact that I maximized my time just to come here to see here, it still took me half a month.”
I could hear the pain and desperate longing from his voice.
Under his eyes were dark circles. His beard had grown unevenly, clearly neglected. His clothes, though still dignified, carried the fatigue of someone who had not rested properly.
He clearly didn’t take care of his self like Kathleen had thought when she left.
She left because she thought she would stop being troublesome to him and he might regain his health, his mental and physical once she leaves.
But looking at Draco right now, he seemed… becoming even worse than Kathleen had described.
I rubbed my temples. These two couples really have a way of making me feel helpless and crazy.
“You found the divorce paper she left?” I asked.
I watched him freeze, fear and panic raises in his eyes. His eyes had even reddened.
“I don’t allow it. I won’t sever my bonds with her.” Although his tone was hard, his expression betrayed him. “I love her, ! want her. She’s my Luna, my Beloved, my Mate… There’s no way I’d let her go. I can give her all the time she wants to heal.. as long as she won’t leave.”
Seeing that he was about to breakdown in tears, I sighed helplessly and opened the gate, making him paused as he looked at me in surprise.
“Can I meet her?” he asked, yet he already stepped inside, afraid that I would change my mind.
“We talked earlier, she cried and panicked that you might leave her and choose another Luna-”
“She’s my Luna. My one and only beloved Luna,” he cut in, voice steady but heavy with desperation. His composure remained, yet his eyes betrayed him–filled with worry that bordered on fear.
“How is she?” he asked immediately. “Is she okay? She’s… she’s eating properly here, right?”
The corner of my lips lifted faintly.
“You don’t need to worry,” I assured him. “She’s doing well. She’s safe and healthy. Her sparks are slowly coming back to her.”
I paused deliberately.
“She was just afraid to see you.”
His brows tightened.
“She thought you might have signed the divorce papers she left behind.”
