Chapter 30
Scarlett’s POV
I didn’t move.
I couldn’t, even if I wanted to.
His eyes felt like they had already captured my soul.
Much more than my wolf, Kaya, for she spoke to me for the second time, but her words were all about the man before me- like a siren, alluring me with his presence.
I’m doomed, right?
My entire body trembled–not just from the coldness of the lake–but from how he kept approaching me with deliberate intent, his eyes locked onto mine.
I couldn’t help but look away.
He’s seducing me, right? He’s really seducing me!
And I couldn’t help but want it too.
I couldn’t help but look forward to what he would do next.
His silver eyes blazed with an intensity that ignited something deep in my chest, almost making my breath hitch.
He’s more than just handsome. Even the word ‘handsome‘ can’t do justice to how stunning he is.
I’d never met a man who could compare to his looks, his demeanor, or his aura.
It was the reason I noticed him when I was a child and, even then, I hoped he would look at me the way he looked at me right now.
“Look me in the eyes, little wolf,” he commanded, his naked form cutting through the water with steady, deliberate steps, every ripple around him like a crown of raw power.
As if I were a marionette, I obeyed his words without thinking.
I stood frozen in place, water swirling around my hips, my breath shallow.
His hand caressed my cheek, nearly making me deaf with the loud thump of my heart.
Was it really just my heart? Or did he feel the same way?
He was irresistible.
And I couldn’t resist him.
I wanted him, too–just as much as he wanted me.
His hand reached out slowly–broad and warm–sliding gently along the curve of my back. I sucked in a sharp breath at the contrast between the cool water and the heat of his hand. His touch wasn’t rushed; it wasn’t demanding either. It was reverent. As if he were worshiping something sacred–if not more.

WOM
His palm glided up my spine in slow, soothing circles, his fingers spread across my wet skin like he was memorizing every
inch.
Then, I felt the brush of his lips.
I gasped as his tongue flicked across the side of my neck, tasting the droplets clinging to my skin.
My knees weakened.
“Lucien. I murmured, barely able to form the word.
He didnt answer. His mouth found my pulse point; his tongue was warm and maddening against the pounding heat beneath my skin. A groan vibrated in his throat as he licked me slowly and deliberately, as if he were savoring every
moment.
My body ached for him, even as my skin tingled under his touch.
God knew how hard I tried not to respond–to push him away right now.
“Lucien,” I called out, my voice trembling. “I haven’t… rejected Alexander.”
Lucien paused.
His lips hovered near my collarbone, his breath curling along my damp flesh.
“Ugh…”
He bit my collarbone, as if venting his emotions there.
“I know…” he said in a low voice. “We won’t cross the line.”
No. If we didn’t stop now, we would surely cross that line.
I bit my lower lip and turned to look at him–was about to push him away, but when I saw his eyes locked into mine, so gentle and filled with the desperate need to claim me–I couldn’t do it.
I couldn’t push him away.
“Please, little wolf…” he pleaded, making my breath hitch. “Don’t keep pushing me away for the sake of that bastard.”
There was pain in his eyes. Longing. It wasn’t just lust but something deeper, and seeing such an expression made my heart
ache.
I couldn’t say a single word to reject him or make him leave.
I couldn’t bear it.
Because I couldn’t deny that I wanted this too.
But… but I hadn’t rejected Alexander yet.
What we were doing would be wrong, even though I was just his contractual mate… even though I no longer felt anything for Alexander, only less and less as time passed.
As if he heard my internal struggle–yet chose to ignore it.

He brushed a wet strand of hair from my cheek, tucking it behind my car with such a tender touch it nearly broke me.
Fuck.
I gave in.
I bit my lips and wrapped my arms around his neck, burying my face on his shoulder as I nodded.
“Make it clear for me so I know,” his voice was hoarse, his body slightly trembling with excitement.
My checks reddened. I forced myself to look up at him and pretended 1 wasn’t the one blushing, that it wasn’t my heart thudding wildly.
“Don’t make me repeat myself…”
Lucien exhaled shakily, pressing a kiss to my forehead, then to my cheeks, then to my lips as our eyes locked.
Neither of us closed our eyes as we devoured each other with the same intensity, ignoring the iron taste mingling in our kiss.
His hand traced the length of my back, and the other cupped my chest, causing a hum to escape in the midst of our kisses.
“Little wolf…” he whispered softly as his hands roamed parts of me that made my knees almost turn to jelly.
“Don’t regret this,” his voice was rough as he picked me up and led me to the edge of the lake, letting my upper body lean against a large rock.
I couldn’t even gather a response before he slipped beneath the surface of the water.
I stiffened as the water shifted around me. My head tipped back, and I stared up at the blue sky through the canopy, willing myself to stay still.
The water stirred at my thighs.
Then I felt him.
His hands gripped the back of my knees, firm and resilient, guiding them apart beneath the surface. I gasped, my fingers curling into tight fists as he lowered himself between my legs.
A second later, his tongue slid between my folds.
A moan escaped from me immediately, unfiltered and raw.
My body jerked and I covered my mouth hurriedly, fighting to stifle the sound.
But my attempts only fueled the fire in him, increasing his eagerness to make me moan for him.
I wasn’t prepared for how good it felt–the slow, expert way his tongue explored me; the deep, possessive pressure of his hand holding my thighs; the way he groaned against me like I was the only thing he’d ever tasted and wanted more.
I cried out again, clapping a hand over my mouth as my hips bucked.
Lucien held me in place with impossible strength, worshipping and devouring me–as if he’d been waiting forever to finally do this. It wasn’t gentle—it was hunger. Rage. Passion. All of it poured into his touch, his mouth, the way he licked and licked until my vision blurred from heat and desperation.
Fuck… it felt so good. So good I thought I’d lose my mind in the pleasure.

1/Aurien–please I choked, voice nearly a soba,
He answered by pressing his tongue deeper, curling it inside me until my legs kicked instinctively underwater.
He surfaced like a beast awakened.
Water streamed down his face and chest, his dark hair slicked back. His eyes were molten.

The corned me before I could say another word, spinning me in the water so I faced the shore. I was panting, trembling,
undone.
Ther
the weight of him–thick, hard–resting against my backside.
He gripped my hips.
1 gasped again, arching into him on instinct, driven by pure need.
His lips brushed my shoulder. “Tell me to stop,” he whispered, his voice barely audible above the rippling water.
But I couldn’t.
I didn’t want to either.
I didn’t want him to stop.
