Gold Moon Mated To The Beta Twins (Meadow) novel Chapter 465

Chapter 465 The Dorestan Bank CEO’s Secret Identity Exposed

Everything was ready.

With just five minutes left before the signing ceremony kicked off, all the reporters were already in position. After the Reed Group’s PR team had stirred up plenty of buzz beforehand, everyone’s attention was glued to the only two empty seats in the VIP section.

Time ticked by, but still, no one showed up.

“Yegorov, is the CEO still not here?” Matthias asked, forcing a smile. The press section was already buzzing with whispers. Honestly, if Yegorov and the other execs weren’t still here, he’d seriously be wondering if this was all just a hoax.

Yegorov matched his smile with polite composure. “Mr. Reed, this is Jaffina. Traffic jams are just part of the package.”

Matthias didn’t know how to continue.

There was a brief pause.

“So, do we need to push things back?” Matthias asked, trying to keep his tone casual.

Yegorov just shot him a knowing smile, saying nothing.

Every second felt like an eternity.

The chatter in the press section only got louder. Right as the countdown hit its final minute, Yegorov glanced at his phone.

“Let’s get started. The CEO’s here.” Instantly, a figure with its face mostly hidden by the hood of a black hoodie caught the reporters’ eyes.

“Make way,” she said.

The voice sounded tired and rough.

The reporters instinctively stepped aside.

With her hands casually shoved in her pockets, the girl walked right past the crowd and coolly claimed one of the two empty seats.

The reporters were stunned.

On stage, Matthias turned to look where Yegorov was gazing, and his face froze.

There stood a six-foot-four man, half his face shrouded in shadow, his eyes cold and unreadable. The tailored black suit only made him look even more like a god, so striking it took everyone’s breath away.

As Matthias finally recognized who he was, his mind practically exploded, and an icy chill shot up from his feet, flooding his entire body.

“CEO!” they called him.

Yegorov led the way as every top executive from Dorestan Bank bowed low to the man, showing him the deepest respect.

Sebastian strode toward Matthias, his face cold and unreadable, every step radiating an intimidating aura. Everyone instinctively moved aside, unable to look him in the eye.

He came to a halt right in front of Matthias.

The whole place went dead silent.

Everyone was stunned.

At that exact moment, the Dorestan Bank’s official website refreshed as the clock struck midnight. All the gossip-hungry fans camped out at their computers saw the new homepage pop up, and right at the very top… Front and center was Sebastian’s profile, impossible to miss.

Complete with his photo, staring back at everyone.

Meanwhile, in a rundown apartment in Haliville.

A cup crashed to the floor. Carlos, slumped in his wheelchair, had his eyes and mouth twisted, drool running down his chin as he made unintelligible sounds. Right beside him, Sophia, her face horribly scarred, was just as stunned, staring at the TV in disbelief.

‘Dorestan Bank?’ Sophia thought.

‘How could Sebastian possibly be the CEO of Dorestan Bank?!’ she wondered.

Both of them looked like they’d seen a ghost.

Carlos felt a sharp pain twist through his heart.

‘God, the regret!’ Carlos thought.

‘If only I hadn’t messed up back then!’ he cursed himself.

Meanwhile, back at the signing ceremony in Jaffina.

Allan appeared in a smoky gray suit, hair slicked back, gold-rimmed glasses on his sharp nose. Grinning devil- may-care, he strode past stunned reporters, ignoring them, and casually claimed the last empty seat.

“You’re kinda late,” Stella teased.

She reached up and pushed back her hood, finally revealing her strikingly pretty face.

“Us VIPs always make sure to show up last, gotta keep the suspense,” Allan replied with a cocky grin.

As he said it, he threw Stella a shameless wink.

Stella rolled her eyes again.

On stage, “You…” Matthias’s voice trembled. He never would have imagined that Sebastian was the CEO of Dorestan Bank. But hadn’t they been in contact with the Reed Group long ago? So, from that time onward, had they been preparing all along?

Sebastian didn’t even bother acknowledging Matthias’s frantic outburst. “Go ahead.”

“You guys totally played me!” Matthias blurted out, his voice cracking. “I’m not signing this. No way….”

Yegorov, now standing next to Sebastian, interrupted smoothly. “Just so you know, Mr. Reed, the paperwork was all wrapped up last night. Today’s just a photo op for the press, nothing more.”

Matthias was stunned.

The internet was absolutely losing its mind.

[I’m so lost right now!]

[With a face like that, is it too late to call him hubby?]

[Dorestan Bank? The name alone sounds loaded, but when you look it up, damn, they’re filthy rich!]

[Heads up, it’s privately owned! PRIVATELY OWNED, people!!!]

[Damn, just how filthy rich is Mr. Gray?!]

[Help!]

In just a few minutes, netizens had shot the hashtags, [Dorestan Bank], [Sebastian Gray], and [Is Sebastian Single?] straight to the top of the trending list.

Each one was blowing up with the [Hot] tag.

“Sebastian was supposed to head back to Dorestan ages ago, you know? Any idea why he stuck around?” Allan said, acting like he didn’t even notice the reporters finally catching on and snapping photos like mad,

flashes popping everywhere. His voice stayed cool as ever.

Stella gave him a calm, almost indifferent glance, and Allan instantly threw up his hands in mock surrender.

But then, he sidled up to her with a mischievous grin. “Hey, Stella, you can’t just abandon our Sebastian, you

know!”

Stella shot back, “Get lost.”

Allan’s eyes crinkled with laughter. “Alrighty!”

On stage, Matthias was so out of it he barely remembered how he’d even finished the signing. Deep down, he knew the truth. After all the back-and-forth, Reed Group had ended up right back in Allan’s hands.

With Dorestan Bank, Nova Group, and Lab 709 all backing him, how was he ever supposed to compete with that kind of power?

‘Even if I’ve packed Reed Group with my own loyalists, so what?’ Matthias thought bitterly.

With two financial giants so rich they could buy a country, they could swap out the entire staff overnight if they wanted; resources were never a problem for them.
