He Cheated I Rose Making Him Regret Everything (Chloe and Arthur) novel Chapter 365

**A Promise Hidden in the Quiet Rain by Adrian Hale**
**Chapter 365: She Walks Into the Light**

“My sincerest apologies for the delay,” a voice resonated through the murmurs of the ballroom, slicing through the air with an authority that commanded attention.

The crowd, caught off guard, turned as one towards the entrance, curiosity and surprise etched on their faces. That voice—there was something undeniably familiar about it.

A wave of excitement rippled through those who recognized the speaker. Gordon and Charles, in particular, felt their expressions shift dramatically, their eyes widening in astonishment.

Yet, in stark contrast, Jennifer and Carolyn’s faces drained of color, panic flickering across their features like a sudden storm cloud.

And then, there she was, standing in the doorway—Chloe.

The grand doors to the ballroom swung open, framing her figure in a halo of light as if the universe itself had conspired to spotlight her entrance. She appeared like a vision released from the confines of darkness, captivating and utterly impossible to overlook.

Chloe stood confidently, a tailored overcoat draped elegantly over her shoulders, its masculine lines juxtaposing the exquisite silhouette of the evening dress she wore beneath. The contrast was striking; she had finally made her entrance, and it was nothing short of breathtaking.

But something about her presence felt altered.

As the soft glow illuminated her, the guests could see a fresh, treated cut gracing her cheek, a stark reminder of the journey she had undertaken. Accompanying her were several figures that piqued the crowd’s interest.

Beside her was a woman who, though not particularly tall, was instantly recognizable—it was Oralia, the celebrated movie star. The crowd buzzed with whispers. How did Oralia know Chloe? What could have brought her here, standing so close to her?

And what of the young boy clasping Oralia’s hand? Who was he, and what role did he play in this unfolding scene?

Then there was the tall, imposing man standing protectively behind Chloe, his presence adding an air of mystery and authority to the moment.

As the crowd grappled with the arrival of these unexpected guests, Lawrence, the representative from Cosmos Group, stepped forward, emerging from behind the towering figure. His presence was magnetic; after all, many had come to this event specifically to see him in person.

The anticipation in the room surged, a palpable energy as everyone leaned forward, eager to exchange pleasantries and make lasting impressions. The combination of Chloe’s glamour and Lawrence’s status promised a perfect opportunity for those seeking to elevate their own standing.

In that instant, the atmosphere crackled with excitement. The crowd surged forward, each person vying for a chance to engage with Lawrence, to bask in the glow of celebrity.

Robert’s face lit up as he recognized his great-grandfather. “Great-grandpa! Are you feeling better?” he asked, his tone bright and innocent.

“I’m just fine, dear. Come here, let me give you a hug,” Charles replied, his arms opening wide, inviting the boy into his embrace.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Robert stepped forward, wrapping his small arms around Charles’s waist. He was still young enough that he had to rise slightly on his toes to reach. Overcome with emotion, Charles let his cane drop, bending down to scoop the boy into a heartfelt hug.

“Charles!” Madilyn exclaimed, her voice laced with alarm.

“Grandpa!” Arthur echoed, both men startled by Charles’s sudden movement. Given his health, such a stumble could have serious consequences.

“You’ve been through so much, Robert,” Charles murmured, his voice thick with emotion as he held the boy close. “From now on, if you need anything—anything at all—you must tell me. I will ensure you have it.” He gently stroked the boy’s cheek, his heart swelling with love. “No matter where you are or what name you go by, you will always be my dear great-grandson. Do you understand?”

“Okay. Great-grandpa is the best. I love you,” Robert replied softly, sincerity shining in his eyes. He leaned in, placing a gentle kiss on Charles’s forehead, his small hand patting the old man’s wrinkled cheek. “You have to be good too, Great-grandpa. Take your medicine on time and get well soon, okay?”
