A faint, cold smile touched Chloe’s lips as her eyes met Madilyn’s, a sudden glint of ice flashing within them.

But… Charles‘ final farewell–how could it be complete without me?” With a light, almost mocking laugh, her gaze drifted past Madilyn to land on Arthur, who had just noticed the disturbance.
