He Cheated, I Rose: Making Him Regret Everything
Chapter 537 Watching the Video

Chloe’s expression shifted into something coldly amused. Jennifer–wrapped in bandages, playing the part -had already inserted herself into Eugene’s world. One of the photos even caught them holding hands.
She raised an eyebrow. Eugene’s fingers wrapped around Jennifer’s, his face etched with worry. Genuine concern. It was right there in the image.
Another shot showed Arthur hovering nearby, his expression wrecked. Looked like he was about to lose it completely.
So Arthur hadn’t held it together. Falling apart like a kid. Interesting.
She scrolled through the rest. More of Arthur. Nothing else worth looking at.
“That’s it?” Chloe’s voice was flat, unimpressed. She set the tablet down and slid it back across the table. “Let me know when Jennifer actually gets into his bed. Everything else is just filler.”
She stood, letting the words hang. “You went to all this trouble. Should be interesting to see how it plays out. I’ll be waiting for the finale of our little bet.”
Vincent opened his mouth, but she was already walking away.
“I want quiet.” She didn’t turn around. “Don’t bother me. You know how this works–if I’m unhappy, you’re unhappy. So do yourself a favor and stay out of my way.”
Vincent sat there for a long moment, staring at the empty space where she’d been. Then a smile crept across his face. She’d looked at the photos. She’d reacted–just a little, but enough. That was something.
He picked up the tablet again, scrolling back to Eugene’s image. He studied the man’s face with cold interest.
So this was the one. The man who’d managed to get under her skin. The one who’d made his Chloe–his cold, untouchable Chloe–actually care about someone.
What did he have that Vincent didn’t? Money? Please. His organization ran more wealth through its offshore accounts than Eugene probably had in total assets. He didn’t just play in the shadows–he owned them.
And yet.
And yet he couldn’t have her.
Was she testing him? Pushing back against everything he’d built?
Fine. If she wanted to believe in this man so badly, he’d help her see the truth. He’d shatter that pretty illusion piece by piece. And when it was over, when her heart was finally broken, there’d be nothing left to fight. She’d come back. She’d have no choice.
Vincent’s thumb hovered over Eugene’s face on the screen. His eyes narrowed,
This man was a problem.
