He Cheated, I Rose: Making Him Regret Everything
Chapter 551 The Impostor Unmasked
Eugene’s expression darkened steadily.
Were they trying to hold him back?

Putting a fake right in front of him–was it to buy time, or did they have another agenda? Whatever the endgame might be, they had already succeeded in getting under his skin.
Eugene had never been one to back down. Now that someone had crossed the line right in front of him, staying quiet wasn’t an option. Chloe was his non–negotiable–the woman he’d claimed as his, his absolute limit.
Anyone who dared to lay a hand on what was his would pay the price, no exceptions. He’d said it before- even if it meant taking on the whole damn world, he wouldn’t flinch.
He was done playing games with that impostor. Wherever Chloe was, he was going to find her.
“Mr. Rosewood!”
Bruce hurried out from the bathroom doorway, phone still pressed to his ear.
Eugene glanced up at him, the chill in his gaze unwavering.
Bruce kept the call active, listening intently to the person on the other end.
“You’re sure the results are accurate?” Bruce repeated, then echoed the response quietly. “Intel is solid, data matches, confirmation is absolute.”
He met Eugene’s eyes, all traces of casualness gone from his expression. Hanging up, he spoke with renewed gravity. “Mr. Rosewood, it’s verified. We’ve identified the woman.”
‘Go on,” Eugene replied, voice low, anger simmering just beneath the surface.
‘It’s Jennifer,” Bruce said, pulling up the received files on his screen.
The woman staying at the Riverville Prime Residence was Jennifer. Everyone had thought she’d died at sea, but here she was–back, and with a brand–new face.
‘The leak came from the Dark Web. Two weeks ago, someone in the medical field performed a full facial reconstruction, altering Jennifer’s appearance to match Ms. Lewis‘. All of her documentation was forged to align with Ms. Lewis‘ records, and the hospital files were specially doctored. From the start, the data we had was fake–that’s what kept us from uncovering her real identity.”
Eugene scanned the information on Bruce’s phone–every detail of Jennifer’s fabricated identity, designed to pass as Chloe’s.
Included was a photo of Jennifer on the operating table, mid–procedure, having her face reshaped into
Chloe’s.
Now it made sense–why that “accident” had happened.

Looking back at everything that followed, Eugene pieced it together.

Chloe had been taken. To mess with them, they’d given Jennifer Chloe’s face. And to make it believable, they built this whole story around amnesia and a car wreck.
A sudden crash, a damaged face and body–they’d bet that his love for Chloe would keep him too distracted to doubt her.
They’d set a perfect trap. Had he not noticed, he might never have realized the woman beside him was a fraud.
But what he felt for Chloe went deeper than most. He didn’t need proof–one look was all it took to know she wasn’t the real one.
This charade ends now,” Eugene said, his voice dangerously calm. “No more playing nice. Anyone who crosses me needs to learn what real consequences look like.”
