Chapter 586 Claire Bingham
Finished
Beneath the dark veil, the woman’s lips curved into a faint smile. After a moment, she replied softly, “If that’s how you see it, fine.”
With that, she raised her hands and gently lifted the veil away.
Everyone had expected the covering to hide some flaw, but instead, what appeared was a face of striking beauty–one that every person present recognized immediately.
With a single glance, they knew exactly who stood before them.
The woman Eugene had searched for across continents, who had been missing all this time, was now right there in front of him.
Her black dress only heightened her cool, detached presence.
Once the veil was removed, Chloe turned her eyes to Eugene. Her expression held no warmth, as though he were nothing more than a stranger.
She simply watched him, silent and still.
Eugene stood frozen. The instant he saw it was Chloe, his heart leapt―his intuition had been right.
It was her.
His Chloe. She had come back.
Yet when he met her distant, almost indifferent gaze, confusion settled in. Why did she look at him as if she didn’t know him?
“Chloe!” Arthur was the first to call out.
“My girl!” Scott echoed, voice thick.
“You’re back, Chloe!” Frank added, just as moved.
But in response to their words, Chloe remained perfectly calm. She didn’t acknowledge them, didn’t offer even the slightest change in expression.
It was as if she hadn’t heard, her attention fixed solely on Eugene.
Carl stepped forward slowly, coming to stand beside Chloe, and spoke in a measured tone. “Mr. Rosewood, let me formally introduce you. This is Claire, the youngest daughter of the Bingham family.”
The youngest daughter of the Bingham family?
Landon was stunned. Wasn’t this Chloe?
Since when had she become a Bingham?
Scott was equally bewildered by the title.

Finisher
“My dear, what…?” Scott began, voice trembling.
Frank couldn’t find words, simply staring at Chloe in disbelief.
Seeing Eugene stay silent, Carl continued, “Mr. Rosewood, today is Charles‘ funeral–an important moment for the Myers family. I’ll overlook your discourtesy this once, but if you behave so inappropriately again, I won’t be so forgiving.”
He lowered his voice. “Let’s go, my dear.”
