If Vincent truly wanted to hand over his life, Chloe would not mind taking it from him.
"Clo, Master has treated you very well. If you don't like these things, you can simply leave them aside, but..."
One of the Shades tried to speak for Vincent.
Chloe looked at her coldly.
That one glance was enough to make the Shade fall silent.
Shade.
That was the title Vincent gave to the people he trusted most at his side.
This time, he had sent two women to look after Chloe's daily needs.
Chloe did not feel grateful.
On the contrary, their presence only made her uncomfortable.
Because they were called Shades.
Once, there had also been someone named Shade.
And she was Clo.
Perhaps Clo and Shade were never meant to get along.
Because of that, Chloe never treated the two women kindly.
Since Chloe had ordered the jewelry thrown away, the Shades did not dare keep it.
They took the items away and reported it to Vincent.
Vincent's response was simple.
If she wanted them thrown away, then throw them away.
The Shades could only follow the order.
Soon after, however, more gifts were sent to Chloe.
Sometimes it was priceless jewelry.
Sometimes it was a rare antique.
But no matter what arrived, Chloe did not even bother to look at it properly.
This went on again and again.
Then Vincent came.
Several days had passed since Chloe last saw him.
His face was still pale.
That wound had nearly cost him half his life.
Chloe had thought he would at least disappear for a month.
Yet only two or three days had passed, and here he was again.
Vincent noticed her looking at him and smiled faintly.
"Are you surprised I'm still alive?"
"I thought you would have died by now."
Chloe's voice was flat.
After saying that, she turned her gaze away, as if even one more look at him was unnecessary.
Vincent was not angered by her indifference.
He slowly entered the room and looked around.
Then he lifted his hand slightly.
The two Shades standing nearby immediately left.
"Do you like this room?" he asked.
Chloe gave him no answer.
Vincent did not mind and continued, "I prepared it for you. This is the room for the lady of Silverash."
"As long as you agree, all of Silverash will obey you from now on."
Chloe finally looked at him.
"Really?"
Vincent caught the faint change in her eyes and mistook it for interest.
His heart stirred.
"Of course."
He answered without hesitation.
"Once you agree, you will be the lady of this place. Everything here will belong to you. Everything I have can belong to you too."
"If you want my life, I can give you that as well."
Chloe smiled.
"Good. Then give me Silverash now."
