He Finally Noticed Me Right When I Was Leaving novel Chapter 158

"Which means he won't get much time?"

Officer Fletcher nodded hesitantly. "The exact sentencing is ultimately up to the courts."

"Right. Thanks."

Pierce reached out, took the evidence bag Officer Fletcher handed him, gripped it tightly, and walked straight out of the precinct.

Stepping out the front doors, he pulled out his phone and called Felix.

"Felix, take care of something for me. Right now."

"At your command, Mr. Prescott." Felix's tone was deeply respectful, not daring to show any negligence.

"Go to the police station and bail Steve out. I don't care how much it costs or how you do it, but you have one hour to get him out of there."

"Understood, sir. I'll get it done immediately."

Felix didn't dare ask any questions. He promptly hung up and rushed to the police station.

The night grew darker, the wind howling louder—a pitch-black, stormy night.

Outside the police station, Steve had just been bailed out by Felix. Feeling incredibly lucky, he asked, "So why'd you post my bail? Did one of those women actually fall for me and get scared she'd be left high and dry if I got locked up? Is that why she sent you?"

Felix let out a cold sneer, a chilling gleam in his eyes as he thought about what this man was about to face. "Just walk."

Thinking he had guessed right, Steve let out a sleazy snicker.

He stretched lazily, a smug, triumphant grin on his face as he taunted the cops at the entrance. "See? Told you so! You losers can't touch me. And next time, I definitely won't get caught!"
