He Finally Noticed Me Right When I Was Leaving novel Chapter 16

"Wife?" Franklin said. "You've been separated for two years; you can just file for divorce. Pierce has been out of the country for three years. If you apply to the court, they'll definitely grant it. If she still refuses to leave by then, the court can enforce an eviction."

Quinton raised his voice. "Seraphina, did you hear that? You're not welcome here. Stop overstaying your welcome. Have you no shame?"

Seraphina took a sip of water, and right on cue, her phone rang. She answered it.

"Hello? You're here. Great, I'll be right out."

Turning a deaf ear to everyone in the living room, she walked straight out the front doors to personally open the gate.

The black, wrought-iron gates adorned with metallic vines swung open, revealing a young man standing outside.

Franklin whistled. "She actually dares to bring a man home in broad daylight? Pierce, can you tolerate this?"

Pierce lifted his gaze. Seraphina was leading the way, the young man following closely behind her. The two were engaged in conversation, and Seraphina smiled and nodded.

The moment they stepped into the living room, Quinton erupted in fury, pointing a finger at her. "Have you completely lost your mind? Who is this guy? This is the Prescott estate, and you dare bring another man inside? Were you that desperate for attention that you started sleeping around?"

Seraphina, who had been chatting with the young man, let out a soft laugh at the accusation. "Aren't you also another man standing here? Does that mean I'm sleeping with you, too?"

Quinton exploded. "You really have no shame..."

"Keep screaming, and I'll bring out those high school love letters you wrote and read them to the room."

Quinton's face instantly flushed crimson.

Seeing Franklin and Pierce both turn to stare at him, he shouted in his own defense. "She's making it up! Pierce, don't listen to her! She's talking total nonsense just to smear my name!"

Franklin raised an eyebrow. "Now that I think about it, I vaguely remember you and Pierce getting into a fistfight back in high school. Was that over Seraphina?"

Quinton looked ready to combust. He swore an oath. "If I ever had feelings for her, may I be struck by lightning right now."
