He Finally Noticed Me Right When I Was Leaving novel Chapter 46

He struggled, using his hands to slowly push himself off the ground.

Seraphina said, "Get baby formula for a three-month-old. Any reputable brand will do."

"Alright."

Caspian nodded, stumbling forward to find his car keys.

Instead, he crashed heavily to the floor, curling into a ball as thick veins stood out on his neck from the sheer agony.

Seraphina let out a breath, rocking the baby. "I'll order a delivery. Try not to die. If you die, this kid becomes an orphan."

A delivery runner soon arrived at the villa with two cans of formula.

Under Seraphina's soothing touch, the infant's cries had already softened to a whimper.

After resting for a moment, Caspian regained a fraction of his strength.

He asked, "The formula is here. Now what?"

Seraphina cradled the baby gently. "Boil water and mix it," she said softly.

Seeing Caspian struggling to stand again, she spoke decisively. "With your filthy hands, I'd better do it."

Swiftly and expertly, Seraphina prepared the bottle at the perfect temperature and pressed the nipple to the baby's lips.

The little one guzzled it down as if tasting nectar.

Caspian watched the baby eat so hungrily and let out a long sigh of relief. "The little one finally stopped crying."

"Yeah."

"You've never had a kid. How are you so good at this?"

Seraphina's eyes flickered, her voice lowering. "I practiced."

"Aren't you a cardiology doctor?"

Seraphina remained silent.

Back when she found out she was pregnant, she proactively bought piles of books and DVDs, scouring the internet for parenting videos.

Her mother lived in another city and couldn't teach her, so once the baby arrived, she would have to do everything herself.

Mixing formula, burping—those were just the basics.
