He Finally Noticed Me Right When I Was Leaving novel Chapter 52

A second later, she seized Felicity's wrist in a death grip and gave it a vicious yank. Felicity instantly lost her balance and stumbled forward.

Seraphina blocked Felicity's foot with her own toe while dropping into a slight crouch. As Felicity tumbled downward, Seraphina delivered a forceful shove. With a loud smack, Felicity hit the floor hard.

"Ah!"

Seraphina moved so fast that Felicity had absolutely zero time to react.

The other girls froze in shock. Terrified to lay a hand on Seraphina, they scrambled to help Felicity up.

Felicity was dizzy with pain, her entire body going weak.

"Oh my god! Blood! Felicity is bleeding!"

"Hurry, call the cops! Have her arrested!"

...

Half an hour later, Seraphina sat on a metal bench outside the pharmacy.

The police were conducting a routine inquiry. Felicity was sobbing hysterically. "...She attacked me for no reason! Officer, I feel so dizzy, and I want to throw up. I think I have a concussion. I demand to be admitted to the hospital for a full workup, and she has to pay for every single cent!"

The officers obviously weren't going to just take her word for it, so they questioned the pharmacy clerk.

The clerk spoke up honestly. "Those girls surrounded that woman first. It looked like they were going to jump her. She was all alone, and there were four of them. I'm pretty sure it counts as self-defense."

"You're lying!" Felicity angrily accused the clerk. "We were just standing around her having a conversation. We never touched her. She hit me first! Check the security footage if you don't believe me!"

The clerk rubbed his nose and didn't say anything else.

After all, it was a fact that Seraphina had struck first.

Seraphina waited a while before the officers finally approached her for her side of the story.

The officer asked, "Why did you hit her?"

"Because she grabbed my hair first. If I hadn't fought back immediately and let them drag me to the floor, it would have been nearly impossible to defend myself against all four of them."

"But you still shouldn't have hit her that hard!"

Seraphina lifted her head, looking at the officer in front of her with a faint smile. "Officer Vance, do you remember me?"
