He Lost Me to His Best Friend novel Chapter 348

Julian had unexpectedly asked her out for coffee at the Mooncrest Café and even booked a VIP private room.

To Sylvia, the message was loud and clear: he wanted her back.

Her heart fluttered wildly with anticipation as she practically floated to the café. She was absolutely convinced that Julian had found out her biological father was Craig Schmidt, the billionaire CEO of Schmidt Properties. He must be regretting the divorce and was now trying to win her back before she officially reclaimed her status.

Men are so predictable, she thought smugly.

Sylvia pushed open the door to the VIP room and immediately spotted Julian. He was sitting at the table in a crisp white polo, radiating that same clean, untouchable elegance that had drawn her to him in the first place. He looked like an absolute dream.

Her heart skipped a beat. She offered him her sweetest, most demure smile. "Ju—Julian. You wanted to see me?"

Julian's expression remained completely flat. He gestured to the chair across from him. "Sit."

Sylvia gracefully slid into the seat, resting her chin on her hands as she gazed at him with a look of overwhelming affection.

"You must have heard the news about me reuniting with my biological father, right? I still can't believe he's Craig Schmidt! In a few weeks, my dad is throwing a massive family reunion gala to officially introduce me to high society."

Julian was mildly surprised by the information, but merely gave a noncommittal, "Oh."

Sylvia leaned in closer. "Julian, did you ask me here today because you want to talk about getting back together?"

She shot out of her chair, looking at him with absolute disbelief. "I actually thought... after five years of marriage, you were finally starting to miss me. But no. You're here for that cheap bitch!"

Trembling with rage, Sylvia let out a malicious laugh. "So what if I did? You guessed right!"

"And let me tell you something else—we ran the test, and the results proved that the baby isn't Yardley's! You think Scarlett is some innocent angel? She's a filthy, unfaithful slut! If you keep defending her, you're going to regret it for the rest of your life!" Sylvia shrieked, her voice echoing off the walls.

Julian's expression turned murderous. He tightened his grip on the edge of the table. "I don't believe for a second that Scarlett is capable of something like that. She has morals and boundaries."

"Sylvia, tell me the truth. Did you tamper with the results?"
