He Loves Me Right, Finally novel Chapter 134

Watching Justin get angrier by the second left Wynette in a good mood.

Her face was full of mockery as she said, "I heard Payton's been acting unstable lately because of all this mess. Mr. Shepherd, mental health problems should be taken seriously. If someone's sick, they need treatment before they drag other people down with them."

Her hint couldn't be more obvious.

Payton's scandal was shocking. Rumor said she stayed at home every day, too embarrassed to face anyone.

For several mornings straight, residents found her asleep outside her building.

But Payton refused to admit she had gone downstairs herself. She insisted someone had sneaked into her house in the middle of the night and dumped her outside.

She had even called the police more than once.

Still, every investigation reached the same conclusion. Nobody had entered her house. The surveillance footage clearly showed no strangers coming into the complex.

Her constant rambling and paranoid behavior had pushed the neighbors to their limit.

Eventually, the residents joined together and demanded management kick her out.

Left with no other option, Payton moved back to the family estate.

But the strange incidents didn't stop there.

Every morning, she woke up either in the backyard or right outside the house gate.

Her mental state was hanging by a thread. Adam had even threatened to send her to a psychiatric specialist.

Wynette did not need to dig into the rumors herself. The whole city was talking about it.

Good news traveled slowly. Bad news spread like wildfire. This time, Payton had truly made a name for herself.

Justin's expression instantly darkened. "My family's matters are none of your business," he snapped coldly.

Just a young girl, yet she dared to speak to him like this.

If Adam had not kept stepping in lately, Justin would never have bothered coming all the way to the treatment center to see Ryker.

He only came to ask one thing. Ever since Wynette took over Jewell Group, she has openly gone against him at every turn. Was Ryker going to let her do whatever she wanted?

The Jewells were not what they used to be. If Ryker continued letting Wynette act recklessly, was he not worried she would drag the company down with her?

Unfortunately, Justin had picked the worst possible time to visit and ran into Wynette first.

And now she was openly mocking him to his face.

Never in his life had Justin been humiliated this badly by someone younger than him.

Wynette was the first.

At that moment, he didn't even bother hiding the hatred in his eyes anymore.

Wynette looked at him coldly. "Sorry, but I'm not interested in your family drama. I just hope you stop going out of your way to bother my father.

"We were never close to begin with, so there's no need to keep pretending in the future. My father needs peace and rest right now. I'm handling the company affairs now. If it's business, you can come to me. But if it's personal..."

She paused briefly before speaking again. "I don't think there's anything for me to discuss with someone who's always calculating every move. Please see yourself out, Mr. Shepherd."

Without waiting for his response, Wynette turned toward the receptionist. "Please keep an eye on things from now on. Other than my mother and me, don't allow anyone else to see him. Thank you for your hard work."

The young receptionist smiled and nodded immediately.

Wynette purposely said those things before Justin. She was making herself perfectly clear. No visitors meant no visitors. It did not matter who came.

In the end, Justin left the center with a grim expression.

Wynette headed toward Ryker's room, only to find it empty except for a janitor cleaning inside.

The woman smiled warmly and explained, "Mrs. Jewell took Mr. Jewell to the garden for some sun. You can probably find them there."
