He Loves Me Right, Finally novel Chapter 177

Wynette curled her lips into a smile.

Right in front of Noah, she reached over and grabbed Adriel's hand.

Her slender fingers slipped through his, their hands locking tightly together.

She lifted their intertwined hands and waved them in front of Noah, deliberately provoking. "I like him because he's handsome. Because he's sincere. Because he loves me with his whole life. Because he's a hundred times better than you. Oh, and most importantly..."

Wynette intentionally dragged out the last few words, looking at Noah with a proud little smile. "He's healthy and strong, so we'll definitely have a house full of kids in the future."

Then, she turned to look at Adriel beside her, the smile on her lips deepening. "Good body, good face, good voice... honestly, every part of you is a treasure. How did I not realize sooner that you were this amazing?"

Adriel stared at the hand she was holding. The smile at the corners of his lips became completely impossible to hide.

Cooperating with her perfectly, he replied, "It's not too late to realize it now. Honestly, I should thank certain people for being blind enough to let me have a chance at pursuing true love."

The two of them played off each other flawlessly, nearly driving Noah insane.

He glared furiously at the pair in front of him.

Before Noah could speak again, Wynette tugged on Adriel's hand. "Let's go."

If they hadn't accidentally crossed paths, she wouldn't even have wasted another word on a scumbag like Noah.

Adriel tightened his grip around her hand in return. He shot Noah a meaningful, mocking glance before leading Wynette past him.

And Noah could do absolutely nothing. He didn't even have the right to ask her to stay.

All he could do was stand there helplessly, watching Wynette and Adriel walk away hand in hand.

He was furious, but there was nothing he could do.

Justin and Eve also noticed the intimate way Wynette and Adriel were acting together. Especially after hearing their conversation, both their expressions darkened immediately.

"Adriel and Wynette are together?" Justin asked in disbelief.

Before this, he had only thought there was some flirtation between them. It never looked like they were actually dating.

But from the way they mocked Noah just now, they were clearly together now.

Eve snorted coldly from the side. "Are you blind? Can't you see it with your own eyes?"

She was still furious with Justin, so naturally, her tone was far from polite.

The tension between them reignited instantly, and the two started arguing again right in front of Noah.

Watching them start up once more, Noah's face turned completely dark.

His gaze remained fixed on the direction Wynette had disappeared, unwillingness flickering in his eyes.

Meanwhile, after Wynette and Adriel entered the elevator, neither of them let go of the other's hand.

Adriel simply couldn't bear to.

It was rare enough for Wynette to take his hand first, even if it had only been to provoke Noah.

As for Wynette, she could feel how tightly he was holding her hand, so trying to pull away now wouldn't exactly be easy.

Besides, feeling the warmth of his palm wrapped around hers actually felt surprisingly nice.

So, she had no intention of pulling away.

From the corner of her eye, Wynette glanced at Adriel's profile. His handsome face was tense and serious, carrying the faintest trace of nervousness.

She couldn't help laughing softly.

At the sound of her laughter, Adriel turned to look at her.

Wynette smiled. "You're nervous? Is it because we're holding hands?"

As she spoke, she lifted their intertwined hands again and waved them lightly in front of him.

Adriel's expression stiffened unnaturally. Clearing his throat, he replied, "No."

There was no way he was admitting he was nervous because of something as simple as holding hands.

It was one thing if Wynette saw this side of him, but if anyone else found out, it would be humiliating.

Even if he died, he refused to admit it.

Wynette didn't answer immediately and simply studied the man beside her carefully.

Is she...

All he wanted was to remain by her side so he could protect her and cherish her. That alone was enough.

He never dared ask for more.

Then, Wynette slowly pulled her hand free from his palm.

The instant her warmth disappeared, Adriel felt as if his heart had suddenly emptied too.

Disappointment quietly spread through him.

Wynette stared at the man in front of her without blinking. Then, she spoke seriously. "Adriel, I think... I've fallen for you. My heart keeps thinking about you without my control. It races because of you.

"You're gentle, considerate, and I've seen everything you've done to protect me. Honestly, a man who's handsome, wealthy, and this caring is hard not to fall for." She smiled softly. "And apparently, I got attracted too.

"You're incredible. Compared to you, maybe I'm not quite as outstanding. But I still think I'm pretty good myself. Even if I might not fully deserve standing beside you yet, but if you're willing to give me the chance to stand beside you...

"Adriel, let's give this a shot," Wynette spoke with complete sincerity.

She had to admit that after seeing everything Adriel had done for her with her own eyes, her heart had long since begun to waver.

She wanted to be with him.

At the very least, she no longer wanted him to keep giving endlessly while receiving nothing in return.

Right now, Wynette simply wanted to respond to his feelings.

She wanted Adriel to know that she had fallen for him too, and that she wanted to be with him.

Since her heart had already moved, she no longer wanted to suppress herself. And she definitely didn't want Adriel exhausting himself trying to pursue her.

If she liked him, then she liked him. If she wanted to be with him, then they should be together. There was nothing to hesitate over.

Adriel met the warmth in Wynette's eyes and stared at her without blinking.

On the surface, he still looked calm. But inside, his emotions were exploding uncontrollably.

After a long moment, Adriel finally spoke in a low, hoarse voice, his gaze burning intensely. "Wynette, have you really thought this through?"

The love overflowing from his eyes was impossible to hide. And beneath it flickered a dangerous trace of obsession.
