He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 1020

Obviously, Sebastian had paid it.

Helena didn't argue.

It was perfectly normal for him to buy his daughter dinner.

She just nodded and led Skye out of the restaurant without lingering.

It wasn't until they were outside that she realized her phone was missing.

"Wait right here for me, okay? I left my phone inside," she murmured to Skye.

Skye nodded obediently, taking a seat in the lobby's waiting area.

Helena hurried back to the room to retrieve it.

This time, she came face to face with him.

Sebastian's gaze was completely unreadable as it swept over her.

He looked at her like a distant acquaintance.

"You left your phone. I was just about to have the waiter call you," he said smoothly.

"Thanks," Helena murmured, taking it from his hand.

She didn't say another word, offering him a polite, dismissive nod.

Then, she turned on her heel and walked away.

As she left, the woman stepped out of the room.

Helena caught a glimpse of her out of the corner of her eye.

But she kept walking in silence.

Sebastian's eyes never lingered on Helena; his attention was entirely on the woman beside him.

"I'll take you for a walk tonight," he promised, his tone incredibly gentle.

As Helena stepped out, she heard him call her Clara.

She let the name bounce around in her head.

It suited the woman's delicate face perfectly.

Completely harmless.

Over the years, Helena had met all kinds of people, and she could tell instantly that this Clara Vance didn't have a malicious bone in her body.

She was simply a soft-spoken, genuinely kind woman.

The perfect homemaker.

And the perfect fit for Sebastian.
