"But I think Skye probably wants it," Sophia pointed out, observing the situation with the clarity of an outsider.

She could sense the emotional void inside Skye.

"It's not appropriate right now," Helena repeated quietly.

"Why?" Sophia didn't understand. "It's just the two of you having dinner with Skye."

"I don't know, he's probably keeping her protected. I saw her yesterday. Her name is Clara. She looks like exactly the type his family would approve of," Helena said.

For a moment, Sophia didn't know what to say.

If he had a girlfriend, then it really wasn't fitting for Helena to go.

"But!" Sophia quickly countered. "If he's seeing his kid and his ex-wife, his girlfriend wouldn't tag along, right?"
