He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 132

She was treating him like he didn't even exist.

The irritation flared back up, hot and sharp.

Helena turned off the stove, poured the Milk Tea over some boba and ice, and quietly took a sip.

She needed something sweet.

Her life had simply become too bitter.

Watching her act so indifferent only deepened the scowl on Sebastian's face.

Because Helena was spiraling out of his grasp.

He was losing control over her, and the harder he tried to force things back to the way they used to be, the more useless his efforts felt.

He suddenly remembered Beau Sterling's warning from before.

Helena doesn't love you anymore. She's desperate to get away from you.

If you want to control her, you have to make her fall hopelessly in love with you again.

Otherwise, it's only a matter of time before it all blows up in your face.

At the time, Sebastian had scoffed at the idea, never believing Helena could ever slip through his fingers.

But now, Beau's words were becoming reality.

If she kept acting like this, he couldn't predict what she might do.

He couldn't even sense her attachment to The Baby anymore, let alone to him.

If she truly decided to scorch the earth, his inheritance would vanish along with her compliance.

The realization forced his anger to recede, replaced by a cold, calculating calm.

His hand balled into a fist inside his pocket.

He refused to let anything jeopardize his shares.

Helena needed to be like Janetta—devoted, obsessed, and fully reliant on him.

Not this reckless wildcard.

He would make her fall for him all over again until all the fight bled out of her.

Shoving his temper down, he walked toward her.

Helena was sipping her drink, but as he closed the distance, she went still.

Outwardly, she didn't react.

"This stuff is bad for my son," Sebastian added.

He even kept a respectful distance, giving her physical space so she wouldn't feel cornered.

Helena watched as he set her drink aside on the counter, remaining silent.

"Helena," he suddenly said her name.

She looked up on instinct.

A rare flicker of sincerity crossed his eyes, masking his usual cruelty perfectly as he held her gaze.

She didn't look away.

He finally broke the silence again. "Fine. I won't deny it. For the sake of my shares, I have to keep you happy and make sure this baby is born healthy. But I also know you'd never actually risk the child's life, or Wynn's. You don't have it in you."

She couldn't argue with that, keeping her eyes locked on his.

Sebastian took a slow step forward.

With her back pressed against the kitchen island, Helena had nowhere to retreat. Her frown deepened.

"What exactly do you want, Sebastian?" she demanded.
