"Mrs. Campbell, what line of work are you in?"
"Mrs. Campbell, is this your first time appearing with Mr. Campbell? Did you request this?"
"Mrs. Campbell..."
The reporters fired questions directly at Helena.
Julian's impatience flared instantly, and he naturally stepped in front of her to block them.
She sighed softly.
He was simply trying to protect her from the media's harassment.
She couldn't guarantee he wouldn't lose his temper right then and there.
But she knew how reporters worked; the more you hid, the more curious they became.
If you were open and poised, they'd lose their rabid edge.
Besides, she truly had nothing to hide.
As the thought crossed her mind, she noticed a black Bentley pulling up a short distance away, at the other end of the hotel.
She went still for a moment.
The tinted windows obscured the backseat entirely.
But she intuitively knew it was Sebastian's car.
Outwardly, she didn't show a hint of emotion.
Even Julian noticed it.
He cast an expressionless glance in that direction.
"Let me handle this," Helena offered. "If you block them now, they'll just try again later. Besides, it's not like I have to stay in the shadows. Think of it as free PR for IGM."
"Are you sure?" Julian asked. "You're not afraid of the fallout?"
"No. Don't I have you?" she smiled.
She knew he was worried about how the press might attack her if she burned her bridges to take down her enemies.
But she also knew that with him by her side, there was absolutely nothing to fear.
Her words clearly pleased him.
