In an instant, Janetta's face drained of color; she was truly panicking.
Without thinking, she grabbed his arm. "Sebastian, I'll never agree to a divorce. Absolutely not."
Sebastian said nothing, his gaze distant and cool.
Then, he smoothly pulled his arm from her grasp.
She was genuinely terrified.
"Sebastian, can you at least wait until I finish shooting Destiny's Choice? Even if I quit the industry, I want to leave behind a masterpiece that people will remember forever, okay?" she pleaded.
But deep down, she knew she was just stalling for time.
Sebastian remained silent, the air thick with tension.
Janetta's voice grew louder and louder.
Eventually, it woke Kyle up.
He stepped out of the ward, seeing his parents arguing.
Tears welled in his eyes. "Stop fighting!"
His little face was pale with fear and anxiety.
Janetta quickly hurried over to him.
"Kyle, Mommy is right here." She fumbled awkwardly, trying to comfort the boy.
It wasn't just panic; she genuinely didn't know how to soothe him.
Although Kyle didn't actively push her away in that moment...
Sebastian could clearly see the boy shrinking back from her touch.
Kyle didn't like Janetta.
Sebastian didn't point it out, merely stating flatly, "That's enough. Go home. Kyle needs to rest."
"Sebastian..." Janetta put on a fake show of reluctance. "Why don't I stay here and keep him company?"
"Are you sure you want to stay here?" he asked pointedly.
Janetta replied without hesitation, "I'll leave a bit later, since I have an event tomorrow morning."
In short, there was no way she was staying overnight.
"No need. You can go," Sebastian said dismissively.
