He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 724

With that, she spun around and marched toward the elevator.

Sebastian's gaze darkened slightly, his tone calm. "I'll take you over."

Although he had kept a low profile upon arriving in Coralia, it didn't mean he was deliberately hiding his whereabouts.

There was no need to sneak around.

His offer caught Skye off guard. "You probably shouldn't..."

Sebastian didn't say a word.

He simply scooped the little girl into his arms and headed for the elevator.

Skye felt even more awkward.

Unable to help herself, she squirmed slightly in his hold.

If Sebastian really took her back and Julian happened to be there, things could get ugly.

It would be a complete disaster.

"Um, about that..." Skye tried to speak up.

Just then, her phone buzzed.

It was a call from Helena, who was clearly worried since Skye had been gone so long.

Skye didn't hesitate and answered immediately. "Lena..."

"Where are you? Why aren't you up here yet? Didn't Aunt Claire take you to the elevator?" Helena's anxious voice came through the speaker.

"Well... I got into the wrong elevator and nobody noticed. I'm heading over right now. I'm already here, so don't worry!" Skye quickly explained.

Hearing this, Helena let out a sigh of relief. "You little scatterbrain. How did you even manage to get in the wrong elevator?"

Skye sheepishly stuck her tongue out.

She had actually gone to the wrong tower entirely.

"Hurry up, I'm waiting for you at the door. Or just tell me where you are, and I'll come get you."

"No, no, it's fine! I'll come over by myself."

"Alright."

Helena wasn't overly concerned.

The building's security was incredibly strict; outsiders couldn't just wander in.

And Claire had definitely dropped Skye off right at the lobby.

So there shouldn't be any danger.

"Sebastian, what do you even like about Lena? I'm telling you, her temper is super bad sometimes. Even Julian has no idea what to do with her," Skye said, looking at him curiously.

Sebastian smiled but didn't answer immediately.

What did he like about Helena?

Perhaps it wasn't even about liking her.

It was purely driven by that overwhelming sense of familiarity.

He honestly couldn't decipher it himself.

And now, all these complicated, tangled connections only made him fall silent.

Seeing that he wasn't going to respond, Skye let it drop.

Sebastian carried her straight to Helena's building.

Meanwhile, Helena had hung up the phone with a helpless shake of her head.

Skye was notoriously terrible with directions.

Saying nothing, she dialed Claire to assure her that everything was fine.

Only then did Claire finally relax.
