Getting Professor Xander to operate wasn't just a matter of throwing money at him.
He had to be genuinely interested in the case.
The Campbell family had definitely tried to track him down, but every message they sent vanished into the void, unanswered.
Professor Xander treated the ultra-wealthy just like anyone else.
He took cases purely based on his mood.
Because of that, Skye had been waiting indefinitely for him to take her case.
But Sebastian knew exactly who the elusive professor was.
Dr. Solomon Lynch.
The youngest son of the influential Lynch family of Bradford City.
Compared to Julian's calculated ruthlessness, Solomon possessed a wildly different brand of arrogance.
He was eccentric and deeply obsessed with medicine, choosing to ignore his family's objections to pursue the medical field without ever looking back.
Coincidentally, Sebastian, Beau Sterling, and Solomon had all grown up together.
But only Sebastian and Beau knew about Solomon's secret identity as the legendary surgeon.
Years ago, when Sebastian's daughter was fighting for her life, he hadn't been able to reach his friend.
Solomon had been off the grid in Africa, entirely uncontactable.
Later, when Kyle faced a similar life-or-death crisis, Solomon had flown back immediately.
That was the only reason Kyle had survived.
Without Solomon, Kyle would have died too.
"Did your team review the details of her first open-chest surgery?" Sebastian suddenly asked.
The doctor was momentarily caught off guard by the highly technical question.
But he quickly gave a summarized explanation of their findings.
"I have no idea what chaotic situation unfolded in that original operating room, but it's hard to believe any qualified surgeon would make such an irreversible, catastrophic error..." The doctor's brow furrowed in deep thought as he spoke.
Sebastian caught the underlying implication immediately.
After a moment of silence in the empty corridor, he forwarded the photos of the files directly to Solomon.
Solomon was currently in Europe, several time zones away.
When the message arrived, the surgeon was still awake.
He didn't bother texting back, instantly dialing Sebastian's number instead.
"What the hell is this? Reading this medical report is like reading a murder confession," Solomon stated bluntly.
As a world-class surgeon, he had spotted the glaring anomalies in the file at a single glance.
"What would the survival rate for a child be under those conditions?" Sebastian asked calmly.
Solomon barely needed to look again before answering, "Under ten percent. Honestly? Surviving this was pure, dumb luck. When we say ten percent in this context, it's practically a death sentence."
Without waiting for a response, Solomon went on the offensive. "Why the sudden interest in medical anomalies? A bit late for a career change, isn't it? With your personality, you're the last person who should be saving lives."
"I'm having Carter Miles dig up the old medical records for my daughter and send them to you," Sebastian said coolly. "I want you to run a cross-comparison."
Back then, the accident involving Helena's daughter had been chaotic, and the emergency surgery had been incredibly rushed.
