He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 750

Her massive eyes fluttered up at him, sparkling with hopeful anticipation.

And a distinct hint of mischievousness.

Naturally, he caught the sly glint immediately; she was actively trying to hustle him.

He easily deduced the truth.

It was highly likely that the Campbells strictly banned her from eating junk food.

"Are you absolutely sure you're allowed to eat that?" he asked, looking down at her skeptically.

She immediately stuck out her lower lip. "A little bit once in a while is totally fine!"

As she spoke, her voice hitched, as if she were on the verge of tears.

She looked heartbreakingly pathetic.

He let out a low chuckle. "I'll go ask and find out."

"Are you gonna ask Lena? She's still sleeping," she fired back without missing a beat.

This time, he completely cracked up. "No, I'm going to ask the doctor."

"Oh—" she exhaled, clearly relieved.

If he had asked Helena, she definitely wouldn't have let her eat it.

He didn't tease her any further. He turned around and dialed Dr. Solomon Lynch's number.

"What is it now?" Solomon snapped in irritation. "I already made contact. Are you expecting me to do the surgery myself or what?"

"No," he replied calmly.

"Then why the hell are you calling me?!" Solomon shot back.

The doctor wasn't stupid; he knew exactly what game Sebastian was playing.

He was deliberately using him as a pawn to corner Helena.

Solomon was fully prepared to do the favor and ensure the surgery went through seamlessly.

But now, it seemed like the man had called for an entirely different reason?

The doctor was utterly bewildered.

Sebastian's cool, steady voice came through the line. "Given Skye's current condition, is she allowed to eat Fried Chicken and Fries? She isn't running a fever right now, and her temperature is perfectly normal."

Solomon: "..."

Before leaving, she couldn't help but glance back toward the master bedroom. "What if Lena wakes up and can't find us? She'll be so worried."

"Don't worry about it. She'll just call me," he assured her confidently.

"Oh, okay!" she nodded in understanding.

Appeased, the little girl dropped the subject completely.

He shut the front door quietly and led her down the hall.

But deep down, he couldn't shake the creeping feeling that Helena's excessively deep slumber was highly unusual.

However, distracted by the little girl's cheerful presence, he pushed the strange suspicion to the back of his mind.

The two of them slipped out of the building unnoticed.

He held her small hand the entire time as they strolled toward the restaurant.

The luxury tower was highly visible, but its privacy and security were absolute top-tier.

Because of the high-profile residents, there was a private internal pathway that completely bypassed the paparazzi, allowing them to leave without drawing any attention.

Because of this, he wasn't the least bit worried about being spotted.
