He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 788

Kyle's mindset had steadily begun to change.

He stayed quiet for a moment before shaking his head. "Not as much anymore."

Sebastian offered a low hum.

He didn't elaborate, opting to comfort the boy instead. "No matter what happens between your mother and me, you have to remember that none of it is your fault. Do you understand?"

"I know," Kyle said, nodding firmly.

Sebastian looked at him, his lips parting slightly.

But in the end, he couldn't bring himself to reveal the truth about Kyle's identity.

With one shocking revelation after another, the boy needed time to process everything.

"Daddy, did you want to tell me something?" Kyle asked, his intuition surprisingly sharp.

Sebastian paused. "It's nothing. I just wanted to ask—what do you think a mother should be like?"

"Oh, someone like Helena," Kyle answered without a second thought.

Sebastian smiled quietly, clearly sensing how deeply the boy adored her.

Just then, the elevator chimed as it arrived at The Penthouse.

He led Kyle inside.

Soon after, the boy got ready, took his shower, and climbed into bed.

Sebastian checked on him and didn't say much else.

He waited until Kyle was fast asleep before slipping out of the room.

Outside the window, the Coralia nightscape was as luxurious and dazzling as ever.

Suddenly, his phone buzzed.

He glanced at the screen and saw it was a call from Skye.

Without hesitation, he answered. "Skye? Why are you calling me this late?"

Her voice trembled with unshed tears. "Julian isn't home, and Lena has a fever. She won't wake up at all, and I'm really scared."

"I'm coming over right now. Don't be scared, okay?" he soothed immediately.

"Okay," she sniffled, still terrified.

Keeping her on the line, he quickly scribbled a note and left it on Kyle's nightstand.
