He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 792

Carter finally turned and left the suite.

Only then did Sebastian make his way into the master bedroom.

Helena was deeply asleep.

She showed absolutely no signs of waking up anytime soon.

Even in her slumber, she tossed and turned restlessly.

He stood over the bed, watching her for a moment before pressing the back of his hand to her forehead. Her temperature had stabilized.

He exhaled a long breath of relief.

It was already twenty-four minutes past midnight.

He took a quick shower, changed his clothes, and slid into bed beside her, quietly pulling her into his arms.

From this angle, he had a perfect view of the surgical scars left behind by her reconstructive procedures.

He stared at the faded marks for a very long time.

"Helena, is it really you?" he whispered into the dark.

She gave no response.

Eventually, he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.

The next morning.

The vibration of his phone woke him up.

It was Kyle calling.

He grabbed his phone and quietly stepped out of the bedroom.

He answered the call.

"Daddy, is Helena sick?" the boy asked.

"Yeah," Sebastian confirmed.

"Then you take good care of her. Don't worry about me. I'm going to find Skye soon, and Carter is going to take us out to eat," Kyle declared, having already organized his own day.

Kyle was over a year younger than Skye.

But because of the complicated dynamics of his upbringing, he was vastly more mature than her, perfectly capable of managing himself.

"Alright. I'll be back later. Call me if you need anything," Sebastian agreed.

"Is she in the hospital?" Kyle pressed, still worried.

"She's at a hotel. Don't worry, she just didn't want to come back and accidentally get you and Skye sick," he explained smoothly.
