He Never Loved Me Until the Day I Finally Left Him novel Chapter 812

Sebastian finally turned his full attention to her.

His brow furrowed in sudden concern.

"We're skipping the gala. I'm taking you to the hospital," he declared, his tone leaving no room for debate.

Her complexion had drained to a sickly, unnatural pallor.

It wasn't the work of cosmetics; the exhaustion seemed to radiate from deep within her bones.

He reached out, wrapping his large hands firmly around hers.

Her palms were icy, yet a deeply concerning, unnatural heat seemed to radiate from beneath the skin.

Years of caring for a frail Kyle had trained his instincts.

He knew the symptoms the second he felt them.

She was running a dangerous fever.

Her condition had been rapidly deteriorating since the catastrophic events of the previous day.

"You're burning up," he stated bluntly.

She frowned, instinctively opening her mouth to argue.

But an overwhelming wave of lethargy crashed over her, leaving her mind fogged and heavy.

Defeated by her own body, she clamped her mouth shut.

Without hesitation, he ordered the driver to execute a sharp U-turn at the intersection.

He dialed her assistant back. "She won't be attending. Find an executive to give her speech."

He ended the call, instructing the driver to race straight to her suite at The Ritz-Carlton.

By the time the limousine glided into the underground parking garage, she had lost consciousness completely.

A shadow of panic darkened his features.

He immediately dialed Dr. Solomon Lynch.

Lifting her limp body into his arms, he carried her straight to the private elevator.

"I know you're in Coralia. Get to The Ritz-Carlton right now," he barked into the phone, his composure dangerously thin.

"Are you kidding me?" Solomon scoffed on the other end. "Did you plant a tracker on my goddamn car?"

Ignoring the complaint, Sebastian rattled off the suite number and severed the connection.

He quickly maneuvered her into the opulent suite and laid her gently on the massive bed.

She remained locked in a feverish slumber.
